Page 11 instructions do not assist. When selecting 'drain', 'spin' or any cycle the display continues to flash 0.00. There is also a symbol to the left in the display which is not noted in the manual; it has a small symbol, possibly a thermometer within a square shape with open top.

display will not change from flashing o.oo plus symbol to the left of that (small square with thermometer type shape). Whenever I try to select a cycle the display just flashes. I have tried the instructions on page 11 of manual but this does not help.

When your using the dial to select the cycle does the dial switch the functions and as you select each function should be reading a different time on each cycle is it doing this as well? or are they all saying 0.00 ?also are there any error codes showing up at all? if when you are trying to change the cycles and the selector moves but the numbers do not go past 0.00 this would be a control issue and you would most likely need a new control board but message me back with the answers to the questions that I have asked and we can research this further Thanks again Rick

if you are switching the cycle control dial and the numbers are staying the same at 0.00 this is called a control issue which mainly deals with your control board in other words you would have to replace the control board or have a technician do work on the control board to see where it is malfunctioning which would cost more then just replacing the board when a control issue happens none of the functions in that book will work without restoreing the control section of it which would mean you would once again have to replace the control board thanks Rick

if you are looking for a control board for your unit at a cheap price i would suggest you try www.marcone.com under contact us there is a 1800 number mainly though i would call a technician so they can distinguish because i cannot at this time see your unit if it is the dial selector or the board itself

it also says in your manual a flashing 0.00 will occur at the end of your cycle have you tried unplugging the unit for 10 minutes and then plugging the unit back in? sometimes this is able to make the control board reset

Hi my Electrolux EWF1074 isn't working. The timer is counting down but there is no water in the machine. I tried resetting it but it didn't work. Could someone please help me. Regards Matt.

Rapid reading of alarms:

Press the START/PAUSE button and the nearest option button (4) simultaneously for at least 2 seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.

ewf1074-2rgnvy5j4oifscmshudmmeh4-3-0.jpg After reading error code (look display) will be a lot clearer in which phase of the washing cycle has occurred or is happening malfunction.

New washing machine (electronic) compared to the old models (electromechanical) consume much less water, so it looks that your washing machine is working properly, otherwise it would be stopped. This will be confirmed if the display show E00 which means there is no any malfunction. Any other error code, for exp. E10,E20,E30, E40, E50...... means some malfunction.

My washing machine will not turn on.

I suggest you rapid reading of alarms.
  • Press the START/PAUSE button and the nearest option button simultaneously for at least 2 seconds: the LEDs initially switch off, and then display the flashing sequence indicating the last alarm.
  • To display the previous alarms, press the button to the left of the START/PAUSE button in sequence.
  • To return to the last alarm, press the START/PAUSE button.
  • The alarm continues to be displayed for the amount of time required, and then the display returns to its normal operation.
  • While the alarm is being displayed, the appliance continues to perform the cycle or, if in the programme selection phase, it maintains the previously selected options in memory.

I am going to need a little more details of the problem
1. What did the big sound, sound like? was it a crashing noise and then silence or was there still a sound like something trying to move ?

2. Was it a small medium or large load laundry?

3. Have you tried using it after a while?
3.1 If yes please describe what happened when you started the machine again.
3.2 If no. Please try to start the machine without a load in it and describe what happens.

Electrolux EWF1074 7kg washer stuck on drain cycle

The first thing I would check is the drain line, not for a blockage but to see if the drain line isn't pushed down in the drain so far that its below the level of the pump. If it is you'll have a siphon effect going and the machine will never advance past rinse
