I have the same problem. Some people says that its because of interference from other neighbors' wireless signals or any other in the surrounding etc.You can go to Router Properties and change the CHANNEL to 6 or 11 and observe any changes.

Hi,
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repairmen in the US.
the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of.(from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones)
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

Weak signal

You may actually be too close to the device, You can access the wireless router from a browser (192.168.0.1 or tplinklogin.net)
The default login is admin / admin
Once the setup page displays you can go to the wireless section.
Here you can adjust the TX Rate and the Channel Width and other features to fine tune your device to work in your situation.

Here is a link to the manual as well in case the above is not clear.
http://www.tp-link.com/Resources/document/TL-WR940N_V1_UG_111228.pdf

Also ensure the device does not have to go through any metal walls, or other material that may disrupt the signal.

Please comment if more information is required.

Reset the router

1. On the back of your router there is a little black reset button. Use a pen or paper clip and press down for 10 seconds. Make sure the lights on the router stop blinking for one second. Release the button and make sure to reset your wireless security and network ID.
2. If that doesn't work just unplug your routers power cord. This is the easiest way to reset your internet connection without resetting your router to factory settings.
3. If neither of those work, unplug the power cord of your modem. This will completely reset the internet connection without resetting the routers settings.
