If your problem is a forgotten password for windows xp there is a bootable disk called ERD commander which has a password reset utility, here is a link to the 30 day free trial. You'll have to burn the downloaded file to a cd. You can us the free cdburnerxp from:
Also you might have to configure your BIOS to boot from the cd. After it boots just go through the dialogs until you reach a screen similar to the normal windows and then go to start/system tools/locksmith and go through that and then restart your computer.
