A few things to check if you have a moisture control button or setting try that... is this a top bottom refrigerator not a side by side could be a problem with the freezer drain in the top of unt plugged and causing unit everytime on defrost to allow water to spill over and go down refrigerator you would eventually see ice build up in freezer section if this was the case... if this unt has a water in the door feature sometimes they put a water storage tank in the refrigerator side to keep the water chilled when you get it out of the door make sure you have no leaks in this system... hard to give all the possibilities not knowing what style you have but here are a few suggestions to start you out good luck

I have a frigidaire refrig. Water collects under the fruit and veg bins. Any ideas why and what I can do would be helpful. It is not coming from the ice maker as it was doing this well before I put the...

Hi Erica, I am happy to assist you. I understand that water is collecting in the bins. Self-defrosting refrigerators dispose of the water generated during the defrost cycle, usually via a tube or channel that directs the water to a pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. From the pan, the water normally evaporates.

If the tube or channel is clogged or obstructed, the water backs up and leaks into the inside of the refrigerator compartment. Then the water builds up at the bottom, inside of the refrigerator bins. When the water has built up for a time it may spill out of the front of the door opening. To fix this problem, clear the drain tube or channel and allow the defrost water to flow down to the drain pan.

I certainly hope this troubleshooting tip resolves your concern. If you have any additional questions, please feel free to respond.

Refrigerator leaking water

You gave no manufacturer name or model number so this is only a guess: If you refrigerator is a self defrosting one, it will periodically, allow ice building up in it to turn to water which naturally drips to the lowest point. Most refrigerators have a drain below the vegetable bins on the bottom. That is probably where the water is coming from. Solutions include putting a shallow baking pan under the bins or under the refrigerator to catch the water, then empty it periodically.

How do u replace water filter on samsung refrigerator side by side model number rs2630sh

The water filter in the extra space behind the vegetable Bin.

1) As shown, the fixed cap separates from the refrigerator by rotating
it counterclockwise.
Remove the water filter from the box and put a month indicator
sticker on the filter as shown on the next page.
2) The water filter should be replaced every six months, so if the filter
was installed in March (for example), put on the "SEP" sticker
to remind you to change the filter.
3) Remove the protective cap, then position and insert the
filter as shown.
4) Slowly turn the water filter clockwise 90º to align
the indication mark on the cover, locking the filter in position.

I can solve your problem for you.

Self-defrosting refrigerators dispose of the water generated during the defrost cycle, usually via a tube or channel that directs the water to a pan at the bottom of the refrigerator. From the pan, the water normally evaporates. (See a more detailed explanation of this in the How Things Work section of our website).

If the tube or channel is clogged or obstructed, the water backs up and leaks into the inside of the refrigerator compartment. Then the water builds up at the bottom, inside of the refrigerator. When the water has built up for a time it may spill out of the front of the door opening.
