Question about GE Profile WPRE6150K Top Load Washer
Most likely you either have a weak pressure switch or a water valve that is not seating properly... if when the unit is off it does not fill on you then it most likely is going to be a pressure switch located in the console area... prior to replacement though make sure the clear hose that goes from the pressure switch to the side of tub is not damaged or disconnected from the switch itself...alot of times if there is a crack and it cannot hold the pressure switch closed it will open and allow water to continue to run... the operation is as follows: turning the timer to a wash cycle water fills to desired load level once reached the pressure of the water in the tub will send air up to the pressure switch telling it to close once closed the timer advances to the next level of the wash cycle and the power is shut off from the pressure switch and water valve.... hope this helps a little ....
