Sounds like there's a power problem. First take out the radio and leave it connected. Turn on the radio normal volume, then disconnect the radio's antenna. If the radio shuts off then you need a better ground. If the radio doesn't shut off then you need to run power wires to the fuse box.
The only other thing is you have a bad speaker that only shorts out when you turn it up. Disconnect all but one speaker or one speaker at a time and see which one is the problem.

I don't know how to set the clock on the jensen jbr550 radio in my bus

To set the clock, turn the radio on in tuner
mode (or any other mode).
Press D. The time appears on the display.
Press and hold D until the time display
begins flashing.
While the display is flashing, press the Up
Tuning button to adjust hours and the
“A” (AM) or “P” (PM) indication. Press the
Down Tuning button to adjust
minutes.
After five seconds, the time will set and the
display will return to tuner or CD display.

My alpine keeps shutting down when the volume is turned up past 20. Plus I have no sound coming out of my subs. I tried switching rca cables. And I sent my amp off thinking it was my amp. Their is a little...

so it turns off suddenly and then the next second it turns back on and starts playing

from that and personal expericance i belive that the radio system (radio and amp) is not reciving enough power

is this radio inside a car
if so what car

what i would do is attach bigger thicker wires to the positive and negative of the amplifier
direct from battery

positive of battery>>>> positive of amp
metal grounding point on car>>>>>> negative of amp
(do not use negative of battery use the metal of the car)

This thing skips badly, even with a new dvd or cd in it. Please help.

Jensen used to be total junk, but over the years they decided to invest in their junk somewhat. If it plays fine when sitting still then I say dont listen to it and drive at the same time... or buy a better unit. srry...

Want to know how to turn on loud feature.

There is no 'loud' feature on the Jensen VM 9512.

If your talking about the 3 letters 'LOC' that you can see when you are in radio mode, they do not stand for 'loud'. This is a common mistake.

'LOC' stands for 'local'... not 'loud'.

I know this because I own a Jensen VM 9512, and I have actually read the book that came with it.

Jenson touch screen head unit is all hooked up properly in a 2001 honda civic if i turn it up to around 25 with loud off and bass down it will shut off for a few seconds and then turn back on and repeat...

the onboard amp in the deck can't keep up and overheats inturn shutting off the speakers , this is common in jensen touchscreens esp the 9412 9512 and the uv 8 best thing to do is buy a 4 channel amp and the problem will be solved sometimes running a bigger constant power wire to the deck will help a little but not much better off buying a 4 ch amp

My speakers dont sound

If you have an amp in your system, I would check the preamp connections, as well as the +12V power, remote, and ground connections to the amp. It's possible the amp is not turning on or the RCA preamp wires got disconnected.

If there is no amp involved, the connector that connects the speaker wires to the head unit may be loose or some sort of "mute" may have been inadvertently enabled.
