Open Question

The center spindle on my numark TT1610 turntables is wobbling and it wobbles the entire plate. it doesn't effect just playing records but i cant scratch or mix because the wobbling shakes the plate and the needle jumps. is there any way to tighten it? please help!

SOURCE: I need help! the center

GOT IT! on the underside of the turntable there are about nine screws i think and if you take them out and remove the bottom there will be a bunch of wires. in the very center, directly behind where the spindle is there is a screw with a bolt around it and a wire under tho bolt. this bolt is probably loose, tighten it with a 9/32 and reattach the bottom with the screws, you are good to go. (by the way the gurus on this website arent the best at this, i could've did what they told me to do by myself)

SOURCE: Loose / wobbly platter?

This is a common problem. If you have another 1200 turntable, switch out the platters and see if that fixes the problem. Usually, the problem does not carry over.

There is nothing to screw or tighten. You can install a new SPINDLE - and it should fix it. But might not be necessary if you just swap your platters out.

Good luck!

SOURCE: I own Gemini TT01 belt drive turntable, as time

Take the platter off & tietern the bolt that holds the spindle pin to the motor or in your case the base.
if you carnt get to it by taking off the platter then u will have to unscrew the base & get to it that way.
OH & dont forget to unscrew the feet coz they hold the corners together.
& good luck mate coz Theres alot screws to take out.

if u get stuk E-Mail me.....

The plate on my numark tt USB is wobbiling

I find it hard to believe some of these answers. If the platter is wobbling, if you remove the platter, you'll find the spindle the platter rotates on. That will probably be loose. At the bottom of the spindle bearing, you will find a nut. Tighten that, and you should be in business. If you have further questions please visit my website at audioserviceclinic.com. How to fix a wobbly turntable stanton T.50

Check if the platter is oke and aint stock, and otherwise is you spindle bearing defect.... A platter ain't goes from flat to wobble all of a sudden. And try to get the stuf second hand, or better, buy a better unit, not from stanton, but a refurbished 1200mk from technics is ok, if you sprin records. If you only listen, take a loke at the rega and pro-ject sites.....

What do you do when you have two turntables and one isnt playing the music but the other one works just fine?

What I do in this case is check the entire path on the "bad" one from stylus to output. The stylus may be worn, damaged or even missing (!). The cartridge may no good. The wires at the rear of the cartridge may be damaged or disconnected. The L and R channel outputs may be damaged or disconnected. The connecting wires may be defective.

It looks like your amplifier has not got a "magnetic cartridge pre-amp" built in, or you have it connected to a tape/cd input instead of a phono input. All you need is to search online for one and that will connect between your deck and amp and it will then be the same volume as anything else connected to the amp.

I need a belt for a numark tt1610 where can i find one

Click here http://www.turntableneedles.com/Flat-Belt-Medium-2575-Inch_p_263.html - this is for the TT1600, but from what I understand, all the TT16xx models used the same belt. Too bad Numark don't have them in stock anymore - they would've been much cheaper!

Examine the cantilever very carefully - you sure that the stylus is there? Not uncommon for the lever to be perfecto but the stylus is gone. So when you go to play a record the arm slides all over the place!
