How do I reprogram Sears Craftsman 031D0359 Rev C Pwr 1 keypad? I first replaced the battery and then followed the suggested steps I found on FixYa. I pressed the green button on the operator which lit up...

Make sure the battery is good. When you press the button on the rear of the opener, just press and immediately release. Then enter your 4 digit code and press enter. If this is what you have done then your keypad must be bad.

Change the battery in the keypad and reprogram
Program:
1- find learn button on back of motor
2. push the learn button ( LED stays on for 30 seconds)
3. during the 30 seconds enter a 4 digit code on the keypad , then press the enter button for 5 seconds

Liftmaster security+ - enter code on keypad and background light blinks and door won't open. How do I get door to open?

Try programming it by pressing and immediately releasing the smart/learn button and then walking over to the keypad and keying in your four digit code and press enter. If this doesn't work your keypad is bad.

Door will not close with remote.

The code you are seeing with 5 blinks is "RPM sensor or motor overload." We can eliminate the motor overload because the door is trying to close. The RPM sensor is a small printed circuit board just in front of the motor. It's a snap to replace and is available at any good door opener company. They will know exactly what you are talking about if you ask for an RPM sensor board.

Keyless entry pad to garage door does not work when code is putin

The flashing is simply telling you you are using this device. As you open this device it should be unlit. Press any button to make it lit up. Press in the code and hit enter and it should blink. If it does not run the door you will have to re code. On the motor head press the colored learn button and then within 30 seconds enter in the 4 digit code followed by the up/down button. Wait for 2 minutes and try. If this does not work and the remotes do then replace the keypad. If the remotes are acting funny too then you will need to replace the logic board. Thanks BB

Reprogram key pad for garage door opener

To program the keypad, you will have to press the LEARN button on the back of the garage door opener console and when it begins to flash, enter a new 4 digit code on your keypad and press enter. You should hear a click and see the lights on the opener flash.

Garage door keypad & remote

You need to sync both. I have a LiftMaster. If you want to change the code on your keypad you need to open up the garage door motor compartment where the light is (mine is in the back). Press the learn button, within 30 seconds enter the new code on your keypad and hold down the enter button for several seconds until the light on the opener blinks to tell you it has learned the code. Test the new code to see if it works. If the new keypad code works, then try the remote. My remote will not work after I reprogram the keypad. If the remote does not work (check battery) then climb back up the ladder and press the learn button on the garage door motor again, press the remote button and hold down until the light blinks again and the opener has learned the new code. This process works when I need to sync my remote and keypad. Good luck, I hope this helps.
