Question about Computers & Internet

1 Answer

My father just gave me a used pair of harman/kardon speakers. Once i plugged them in i turned up the speaker volume half way and my computor's master volume full. Then i played song in iTunes but the speakers were so soft I could not even hear them and even at full volume I still had trouble hearing them. Are the speakers really supposed to be that soft or are they atleast supposed to be heard? please help, courtney

It may be possilbe that they need a power adapter becuase many speakers are powered speakers, not jack powered.

I have two Harman Kardon speakers that came with my computer. I bought a subwoofer and would like to hook it to the speakers and computers. How do I do this?

You will need a sound card which supports more than stereo sound say a 5.1 or 7.1 then you will have the extra jacks to plug in even rear, centre and side speakers if you wish as well as a sub-woofer. Cheers from Scott....pls vote

What a lovely daughter, how very nice of her,

here goes....straight for Mr. Koss

To Operate with AC Adapter
  1. Open battery compartment located at the back of both speakers and remove wires.
  2. Replace battery covers.
  3. Connect DUAL PLUG CONNECTOR on left speaker to right speaker at connection marked "TO LEFT SPEAKER."
  4. Connect remaining wire with 3.5mm plug to headphone jack on your audio source.
  5. Connect AC adapter (not included) to back of left speaker at connector marked "DC 6V." Plug remaining end of AC adapter into wall outlet. Be sure your AC adapter is built with the center pin as ("-") negative. Connect remaining wire with 3.5mm plug to the headphone jack on your audio source.
  6. Turn ON/OFF switch at back of right speaker to "ON."
  7. Set "INPUT SELECTOR" switch to audio source.
  8. Turn on audio source
  9. Adjust sound in the following ways: Turn volume control to desired level; push Bass Boost button located on right speaker to "ON" for added bass; push Treble Boost button on right speaker to "ON" for added treble
  10. Operating a microphone through your speakers require an additional 3.5mm plug to 3.5mm plug cable (included). Connect cable with 3.5mm straight plug to right speaker at input marked "MIC" on back of speaker. Plug the remaining 3.5mm L--plug into the mic input on audio source. Won't power up

  • Make sure all connections on the rear of Subwoofer are properly inserted in their connectors.
  • Check to see if LED illuminates on the front of right satellite speaker. If it is not illuminated, check the power connections.
  • Make sure power switch on satellite is turned on.

Can't get a Sony Data Projector CX21 to work with my Toshiba Laptop (harman/kardon model) It is compatible with DDC2B. Have the 15 pin cord between the two. Turn projector on then computer and...

Ok... first off... the Harmon/Kardon isn't the model for the Laptop.... it's the type of speakers you have... Great sound for a laptop... but still that refers to the speakers... people have problems with these things... I had to trouble shoot this all the time at my high school... Try going into the display properties and trying to add it as another monitor... (this may even work better for you then having to use the one screen)...

Speakers

Hook on speakers to the right jack.
Most of times it is the Green Jack you must plug in the speaker. See for the speaker icon below the jack, that should give you the clue...
Hope this helps...
