Question about LG 32LG30 32 in. LCD HDTV
If you are operating with remote I guess the remote is faulty. Try operating it with the remote placed in another room & observe if the sound still decreases, else the button(sound) on your TV is itself faulty. Since you have just bought it, its still under warranty - contact dealer.
If its the remote, then change the remote
