Need to uninstall ATI CATALYST Install Manager * I am upgrading windows from vista to windows 7 but need to uninstall ATI CATALYST Install Manager *

Aside from the standard option of "Add / Remove Programs" in the Windows Control Panel, you can use the far superior Revo Uninstaller program. ninite.com will supply you with a simple one click install of Revo, and uninstall the Catalyst Install Manager would just be a matter of selecting from the list after opening Revo itself.
However, I feel I should tell you that all of that is unnecessary. The real problem is with video drivers. Windows 7, on install, will mark the Catalyst Manager redundant. That's why it wants you to remove it. But you can feel free to leave it there. It will cause no harm to your system during or after upgrade.
One more thing. I would advise NOT doing a straight upgrade from Vista to 7, as the transfer leaves the registry a bit muddled, and seriously kills the speed of your computer. Instead, do a backup of all of your documents, pictures, whatever you want to save, reformat the hard drive and do a fresh install of Windows 7. Your computer will run faster and more efficiently than it ever did on Windows Vista. Simply reinstall any programs you need, transfer your backed up data back in to the system, and you'll be done.
Happy computing.

Windows 7 wouldn't detect 1600x900 resolution after installed and uninstalled magictune premium, tried reinstalling windows, updating driver (Ati 2600 pro; ati catalyst 10.2), update monitor driver from...

Try setting your color depth to 16 bit first then 1600 X 900 and try a reboot to see if it stays. Use only the windows display manager to do this, not the catalyst control. If the resolutions stays you can try setting it back to 32 bit and saving. The true max settings will appear in your windows display manager, and not always in third party display management software.
Trust that before you trust Catalyst or magictune.
Remember not to force the resolution above what windows considers safe, even if you know the monitor can handle it. Also bear in mind that Win7 is not fully ready for some things yet, even if Microsoft says it is.
I never trust a new Microsoft OS to be fully compatible with anything, no matter what the press statements report. So far this has kept me from destroying many components that may have otherwise become damaged or corrupted.

I have 2 acer data managerment problem found in edata security software installation it says please close all running programs and reinstall edats security. the second one is catalyst control center is not...

> please close all running programs and reinstall edats security.

Close programs (word-processor, web-browser).
Click Start
Click Control Panel
Click Classic View
Click Add/Remove Programs
Click on EDATS SECURITY (or something approximately that)
Click Remove
Click OK
Shutdown
Restart
Reinstall the software

> catalyst control center is not supported by the friver [?]
> version of your enabled graphics adapter.

ATI (www.ati.com) distributes the "Catalyst" software with their adapter video-cards. So, there is a problem with the "Control Center" component of their software.

> please update your ati graphics,
> or enable your ati adapter using displays manager

First, do you have an add-in video-card in your computer?
If not, then you should not be trying to use the ATI software,
and you should remove it:
* click Start
* click Control Panel
* click Add/Remove Programs
* select the ATI Catalyst software
* click Remove
* restart your computer

Second, if you have added an ATI card, you may need to restart your computer, press DELETE to enter BIOS SETUP, and "disable" the "onboard" video-adapter, or change the video-priority so that the ATI video-card becomes the "primary" video-adapter, and the onboard video-adapter becomes the "secondary" video-adapter.
Then, click Save Changes, and before selecting Exit From Setup,
move the video data-cable from the onboard VGA port to the VGA port on the ATI video-adapter. Then, "blindly", click Exit, and let your computer restart. Then, during the reboot, the ATI software will recognize the new "primary" video-card, and will the software will control the ATI video-hardware.

Sometimes, it helps to have a second computer monitor, and connect one adapter to the "onboard" VGA-port, and the other to the ATI VGA-port, so that you can see video output wherever it is produced.

ati catalyst is for a graphics card.
it would not have issues.
the card may show as fine, or the drivers may. try the card in another pc. if it is built in try a new card. ethernet cards are just a few pounds.
