Consider NOT connecting your camera to your computer.

The best way to download pictures from your camera to your computer involves removing the memory card from the camera and plugging it into a card reader (either built-in to the computer or connected via USB or FireWire). This is likely to be faster than connecting the camera to the computer, and won't run down your camera's batteries.

Once the card is plugged in, it will appear to your computer as a removable drive. You can use the operating system's drag&drop facility to copy pictures from the card to the computer's hard drive. Or you can use iPhoto or any other photo cataloging program.

Unfortunately there is no driver available for this camera for Mac. I am a Mac user and have this camera, I had to use a Windows computer to download the photos. Windows will automatically install the drivers once you plug the camera in. You can't see the camera as a drive but you can launch the software and download your photos.

The camera was for my kids but in my opinion the quality of photos is not worth the inconvenience of getting them off.

Driver compatible mac

So there's good news and bad news. . The bad news is that it doesn't look like there is a driver for Mac, and Sony apparently has no intention of every developing/releasing one. . The good news is that you can still print photos by taking advantage of the printer's ability to print directly from a camera. . You can upload the photos directly to a memory card using a memory card reader, and then put the card into a camera and print from there. Note that the camera might not accept the photos if you are taking them out of iPhoto, because iPhoto does a conversion on imported pictures that the cameras sometimes don't understand when you try to put them back on the camera. If you want to edit the photos, use a program called GIMP instead of iPhoto. Here's the download link: http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html . Hope this helps!

Have Olympus camera (I believe F310). Cannot upload photos from camera to Snow Leopard; however I could flawlessly in Mac OS 10.4. Is it the system change, a camera problem, or a cable problem? Camera...

Is the camera detected and mounted when you connect it to the pc? It should appear as an external memory - the photo files directly accessible. If it doesn't then something is wrong with the cable. If it does then try to access the files with another file manager than Finder.
The easiest way to bypass this problem is to extract the memory card and put it in a card reader - now it will be just another memory stick, use it as one.

How can i download my photos from my camera to my mac?

Hi there,

Well it's very easy, first of all you can follow the below link and download driver for your mac os -

http://www.usa.canon.com/consumer/controller?act=ModelInfoAct&tabact=DownloadDetailTabAct&fcategoryid=324&modelid=19208

(Just copy and past the above link in your web browser, and select mac os x option from drop down list, lastly download ImageBrowser 6.5.0a Updater (Mac OS 10.4-10.6))

After downloading driver/software just install it to mac pc, then connect your camera to mac and simply transfer photo by opening the installed software.

Good Luck!!

Unable to download photos from Finepix z33wp to iphoto on Mac

Use a card reader to download to a folder you create on your desktop. Then, from there, send them to iphoto.

Have a new sony dsc-w120 cyber shot camera. first digital camera and have no clue. also have memory stick duo. can i transfer pictures directly from the camera to my mac computer using usb...

OK,
Camera has small inbuilt memory that can store few pictures. You can copy these photos in memory stick by inserting memory stick in camera, go to Menu >> Copy >> Yes.
Memory stick stores many photos depends on its size and let memory stick in camera, hook it with computer and transfer photos from memory card.
Thanks.

Don't know how to download from my memory card

You can do this one of three ways.

1.) You can insert the Memory Card directly into the Frame

2.) You can connect to your PC or MAC with the camera (Memory Card still inside the Camera)
and Upload the Photos to a File. Then Connect your Frame into your PC or MAC and download them to the Frame.

3.) Connect the camera directly to the frame. (This may cause formatting issues though)

Trouble downloading photos.

Some things to try Grace.
Take the card to a processing station and see if their machines can read the images.
Or
If you have a friend with a PC[as opposed to a Mac] may have better luck
In the PC world there many recovery probrams available -usually Freeware-
Do you have similar opportunities in the Mac world - a search on your browser for 'Image Recovery' for Mac O/S.
If not t hen you will have to find out if your camera is faulting or the card, by trying the card in another camera for eample or buying another card.
