Question about Nikon Coolpix 2100 Digital Camera
Hi, my Nikon Coolpix 2100 has served me well and faithfully for four years now. Just recently, without any incident that I'm aware of, it started doing something strange. When I turn it on, it takes a photo automatically. Same if I change the dial settings, each change results in a photo being taken. However, the button to take a photo doesn't work. Everything else seems to be working fine, the flash, the zoom lens, the settings, etc.
I have just ordered a Nikon Coolpix 550 (wowza! can't wait for it to get here!), but I'd love to be able to gift this one to my stepdaughter, if you can help me figure out how to troubleshoot this problem. The camera is in nice shape and takes great shots, perfect for a young girl.
From the menu of the camera, you need to change and select the settings for the pictures. Some cameras have this option where it will take one or more picture automatically. Also check that the self timer is off.
