Are you setting it on the bed or other soft surface while using it? That will cause it to overheat.

Hello,

Try to remove the battery and install it back in, and make sure the vent is not blocked, make sure also that the fan is not blocked, and be sure to have all the hardware components seated properly on the mother board.

If the problem persists, then you will have to rerun the operating system of your laptop.
That way your computer will work properly without shutting down.

Take care and good luck

Hello, I have Toshiba Satellite M200 window Vista, I have a new problem after working for 10-15 mins my laptop is getting hang nothing visible on screen just blurred screen , when i switch off and start...

Your Toshiba could be overheating.
When the CPU overheats then it will shutdown (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down.If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes this problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are cloggedwith dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan. If the fan and heat sink is clogged withdust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use acan of compressed air to do this.

May be there is dust in your laptop. Use the laptop with some wooden flat surface instead of pillow, the laptop should heat less frequently

Laptop heats and shutdown

You should not use a laptop on a soft surface such as a duvet or bed covering. The device needs to have free air intake and outlet to cool the processor. If you block the intake, which is probably under the machine, it will overheat and shut down.

If you want to use it in bed put it on a hard surface such as a large book, so that the air intake cannot be blocked.

Sony TV keeps shutting down ever 5 mins

Could be loose connections on the board where the solder is expanding as it heats up causing a loose connection or something in the power supply or horizontal is over heating and your tv is going into shutdown protection . Good luck
