The diagonal goes into the focuser and then the eyepiece goes into the diagonal.

We just got our Bushnell Voyager 78-9945 Reflector Telescope. It comes with the poorest manual I have ever seen. How do you assemble the eye piece?, what is the little shiny metal triangle piece for? Does...

I think I already answered this question. Eyepieces are NOT assembled they are one piece like this picture:
http://www.amazon.com/Celestron-93342-17MM-Plossl-Eyepiece/dp/B000YKZKNI

They simply slip into the hole of the focuser -- straight in. The larger the number written on the eyepiece the LOWER the magnification.

In the picture above there is a metal triangle holding the tripod legs apart-- it is called a "tripod spreader" or a tripod "tray"-- used for holding eyepieces and other small pieces of equipment while you are using the scope.

Hope that helps you.

Do you have the assembly instructions for the Imaginext T-Rex Mountain? Thank You.

Hello Bread

Push the raised tabs on the backs of the upper and lower skull pieces into the fitting holes on the frame piece. Insert the screws into the back of the frame and tighten with a Phillips screwdriver. Stop turning the screws as soon as the heads meet the frame to avoid cracking the plastic pieces.Loosen the screw holding the battery compartment door on the inside of the upper skull piece. Install three AAA batteries to power the sounds and lights for the T-rex mountain set. Replace the door and tighten the screw.Work with your child to snap together the pieces of the mountain setting for the initial assembly. Follow the pictorial directions inside the Imaginext building toy to assemble the configuration shown on the label of the box. Step in to aid your child only when necessary to follow the instructional diagrams.Reach in under the upper jaw of the skull piece and slide the switch to the on position marked by a black filled in circle to activate the lights and sounds on the Imaginext play set.Push one button on the top of the skull to light the eyes and make jaws move. Push the button next to it make the eyes glow and sound the chomping noises. Push the claw button at the base of the mountain to make the claw drop and trap action figures. Push the button next to the tree to make it fall over.

I have a newtonian telescope 76mm with SR4, H12.5 and H20. I have aligned the crosses up and can see through the viewfinder but nothing through the eye piece. Ive placed all the other lenses into the eye...

YOU MUST align the small finder scope with the main tube.

Point the scope at a distant object like the top of a telephone pole. GET the top in the center of the eyepiece in the main scope.

Then without moving the scope-- adjust the cross-hairs in the small finder scope so they line up on the same object.

It is NOT in focus.

Take the scope outside during the daytime and practice focusing on a distant object. Turn the focusing knob until you get a sharp image in the eyepiece.

Hi All, I have brought a Black TwinStar GIANT 6" MIRROR W TRIPOD -Reflector Telescope EQ Mount. I have successfully able to assemble every thing except the eye piece settings. could any one please help...

The eyepiece with the LARGEST number written on it is your lowest magnification.

Put the eyepiece into the focuser and practice focusing on a distant object during the day time. The image will be upside down. NOTHING is wrong. All astronomical telescopes show upside down images.

You will also need to learn how to polar align the EQ mount. Read my tips on my profile page.

Bundled Eye Piece Cover

The Eye Piece Cover is the cover that attaches to the viewfinder. The eye piece cover prevents light from entering the viewfinder when shooting with your eye away from the viewfinder.
