Question about Frigidaire FGEF3032K Electric Range

Open Question

I have the Frididaire range model fefl89cca. It is an electric, the stovetop works fine as well does the control panel. I can pick bake, convection, temps, times etc but the stove does not heat. Neither the top or bottom elements heat ( when set to bake or broil ) though the indicators on the panel would appear to show it functioning. When set to convection the fan does run.. so it appears to solely be the elements not getting power.. what should I start with first to fix this?

SOURCE: broil element will not work

You need to check the oven sensor. It should be about 11k ohms. This is the metal rod in the back top of oven cavity. Access it from the rear. UNPLUG POWER FIRST!!

Richard, sounds like you did all the pretests. You'll need a new display panel. When you work on it, be sure to cut the power.

SOURCE: baking element

oh bleep, right? well, if you're lucky this will get you going again. 1. disconnect power to range. 2. remove back metal cover just above range power cord (usually 5 quarter inch hex screws) 3. look for burnt off wire leading to/from bake element. If yes, 4. strip ends of broken wire and splice with ceramic wire nut if no 4. bad news. replace ERC (electronic range control) you fried something on the board. It's got the clock display and all the electronics behind it.

SOURCE: Broiling and Baking Element Stopped working

the thermostat is bad that's the one that turns bake and broiler elements, but before you replace anything check for power on wires connecting to the elements.

You will probably have to replace the main control board- the cooktop operates independently of the ovens, so your symptom is not uncommon... GE Range Stove Oven Oven Control Board WB27T10416

Frigidaire oven wont heat up but stovetop and digital all works

Hello angeleyez82 - The EOC (electronic oven control/control board) basically sends power to both the broil and bake elements. As long as the power supply to the range (240VAC) and wiring between the elements is correct, then typically only the element(s) or EOC could prevent the unit from heating. I hope this information helps to some degree.

Oven won't bake

Sounds like a connection issue to the control panel and the lower portion of the unit. Contact a professional to have the unit diagnosed unless you find the ohm reading to be off for either broil or bake element.

Frigidaire Range control panel DEAD

We tested the EOC and it will indeed need a replacement. Also, just a couple weeks prior we ran the "clean" mode on the oven as did another poster who experienced the "pop" and loss of the control board/oven function, but still had stove top function.
