If it's less than one year old, it's under warranty. Take it to a Canon authorized service centre and they will fix it for free (warranty). You can find a service centre by contacting Canon - go to their website.

If it's more than one year old, try this:

Clean the rubber tire(s) with rubbing alcohol. If still no good, try gently scuffing the surface of the rubber with an emery board or some sandpaper. This may bring back the surface of the rubber so it will grab the paper. If stll no good, replace the printer, as a repair may cost almost as much as a new printer.

Hope this helps!

Regards,

Joe

Why does my printer grab several pages of paper at once instead of one?

The printer when it was cleaned for paper jam might have damaged paper rollers which picks the paper as the gap is increased due to paper pull. You can replace rollers then problem will be solved .

Printer shows jam when there is none, press the check and it prints OK

That type of problem is called a phantom paper jam and is caused by the printer not picking up the paper like it should. When the print job is sent to the printer the pickup rollers turn and should grab the top sheet of paper and feed it into the printer. When the rollers get worn down and slick they can not grab the paper right so you get the error message. When you retry the rollers may be able to grab the paper and the job goes through. To correct this intermittent problem you will need to replace the pickup rollers and separation pads. This is easy to do for the end user no need to send the printer in for service. My Dell 922 printer will not grab the paper anymore. The rollers are turning but nothing is happening,

The rubber treads in the rollers wears down, making them smooth, so they won't pick up the paper. Sometimes, they are aged, which also gives them a smoother rounded texture, causing jams. The quick fix is to liven up that roller with a mixture of alcohol and soap. Damp a rag with the solution and wipe the rollers clean with it. That's make them more pliable and the paper jams will cease.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response

Thanks, Joe

Paper jams in heater

Hello

An overheated fuser is one of the most common causes of a paper jam. When large loads of print jobs are pushed through a printer, the fuser slowly starts to warm up. As the fuser warms up, the heat causes the corners of the printer paper to bend. The hotter the fuser gets, the more the paper bends. Eventually the paper bends so much that it causes the paper to get stuck in the fuser, causing a jam.

If you cannot find any other reason for a continuous printer jam, the problem may be the roller. A cracked roller can easily grab a piece of paper and get it caught. A glazed-over or dirty roller can also cause the paper to get caught on the roller and jam the printer. If the roller is cracked or glazed, you may need to call your print technician or replace the roller.

It will not grab the paper properly to print. After trying I receive the message saying there is no paper.

OK, if the printer does not grab, the rollers are probably wearing out.

There seem to be a number of posts of Canon printers of various models acting in this way. I think that when the rollers get old, they do not grab, and there is no economical fix for this problem.

So, I usually recommend that the printer be replaced with a newer one with good rollers, possibly brand new.

There are quite a few new WiFi printers on the market that would have no paper feed issues.

Good luck on finding a printer solution.

Printer not catching paper

You may have to clean the pick up rollers with alcohol or put a new roller in your printer.

If you have a printer with a tray, make sure it is set correctly for the paper you have installed.

It will try to grab the paper a number of times and will usually give you a paper jam error after a number of tries.

Skewed or crooked paper uptake on Canon Pixma Mx300

Sounds like the roller(s) on the left side is missing or is slick (or split). You should have returned it to the place of purchase when you discovered the problem.

Not grabbing paper

Try cleaning the rollers again and fan the paper. When you clean the rollers, use alcohol and a lint free cloth. Don't put too many sheets in the feed tray.

Paper jam in tray 2

the most common problem for a paper jam in tray 2 is that either the pick up rollers and separation pads are worn or that there is something stuck to the rollers that transfer the paper up through to trat 1.(most commonly from if people have been printing on stickers/labels) just eyeball it to see if anything looks to be stook and try wiping it off. DO NOT SCRATCH IT OFF as this will only make things worse!!!
