Question about Televison & Video

1 Answer

We had satellite TV installed...the installers disconnected the power cord after the installation was complete. Upon reconnecting the power cord to the outlet, we discovered the TV did not show any signs of receiving electric power. The outlet does have power and works other appliances tested. Standby/on indicator shows no sign of power. On/off switch does nothing...either from the remote or from the power button on the TV We did check all connections to confirm they are secure We also unplugged the TV for several hours, as suggested in the troubleshooting section of the manual. We looked for an On/Off switch, reset button on the TV and could not locate one We are at a loss...for the TV worked fine before...might there be a fuse someplace? Would appreciate any input you may provide Thank you---Confused in Dover

Please confirm what can be causing this unit to not show it is receiving power. Is there an additional on/off switch? Are there any fuses?

If so, where are they located....Would appreciate your advisement, for my wife indicated the TV did work before the Direct TV technicians left the premis.

    Thank you---Confused in Dover

We have 3 TV sets, and my wife indicated they all worked when the technicians left.

I stated the problem, what we had all ready tried and asked if there might be a fuse or an on/off switch someplace.

I am not currently where the set in question is located and I would appreciate a response to my question as well as the Brand and model # of the TV reported, for I do not have that info with me

    Your assistance is appreciated

Hello frank.... I recommend that you call the satellite installers and have them come back. Shame on them for not showing you how to operate the tv and the new remote control. If they don't agree to return asap, tell them that you are going to file a written complaint with the Better Business Bureau, and your State Attorney General, and the FCC. Joe

Reset 4500 hp estimated inklevel

The best you can do is, Disconnect the power cord from back of printer ( while printer is on ) and reconnect after 30 seconds.

This should help you in displaying ink level on printer front panel and also from solution Center on your pc ( if the complete software is installed )

Basic software installation or just connected to PC will not display ink level on your PC Screen

Regards,
Suhail

No power

If it is not getting any power at all, only one of three things: cord is fried/dead; could be the outlet, try something else in the same socket; or, the board in the printer is dead.
1. Press the POWER button to power on the printer The device has a <POWER> button.
Connect the power cord from the printer to the electrical source.
Press the <POWER> button.
Wait until the device has completed its cycling process before submitting a print request or completing installation.

2. Disconnect and Reconnect AC power adapter or power cord to the device and electrical source
  • Disconnect the AC Power Adapter or power cord from both the device and the electrical source.
  • Then reconnect it.
  • If you are still unable to obtain power to the device, try another power outlet.
  • If possible, try connecting power directly to a wall outlet (as opposed to using a surge protector or power strip...just as a troubleshooting measure).
3. Disconnect and reconnect the electrical cord to ensure a secure connection 4. The iP6000D may require repair
For toll-free technical support, please call 1 (800) 828-4040 during regular business hours (currently Monday-Friday 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 midnight. EST, Saturday 10:00 a.m. - 8:00 p.m., excluding holidays).
5. Try a different electrical source / outlet

this will surely fix your problem..

I disconnected power from the tv to install carpet & im not sure if iam hooking it back up correctly

danny_burse

I am assuming when you say you disconnected power from the TV to install carpet, you disconnected the cables from the receiver to your TV. Depending upon your installation, you have a cable that comes from the dish located outside that is connected to a splitter and has 2 cables coming off the splitter. The 2 cables will connect to SAT 1 and SAT 2 on the back of the receiver. Your TV 2 connection either goes directly to your TV 2 or goes to a second separator, connected to the UHF/VHF connector. If you still have problems with the connections, please email me at ray.calo@dishnetwork.com and I will assist you further.

All lights blinking Deskjet F2180

Welcome to FixYa!

I assume that the "Start Copy Black" light and "Start Copy Color" light is also blinking.
The product has a fatal error or the scanner bar is unable to move.

Reset the printer:
  1. With the power on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the product.
  2. Wait 30 seconds.
  3. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the product.
  4. Press the Power button to turn on the product.
  5. Wait until the Power light stops blinking. The reset is then complete.

Solution two: Make sure that the control panel overlay is installed correctly If the control panel overlay, or bezel, is incorrectly installed, the product might indicate a false error condition. If the product has not been set up before, ensure correct installation of the control panel overlay. NOTE:
If you already installed the control panel overlay, and your printer has been working for some time, do not attempt to reinstall the overlay. Press firmly on the overlay to ensure proper installation of the overlay adhesive or pins.
I hope this helps.
Thank you for using FixYa.
Keep me posted.

I have problem in my canon MP150 printer that the display is blinking digit 5 and E so wat the problem tell me

E5 - The ink cartridges are not installed or a non-supported ink cartridge is installed, or the ink cartridges are not installed properly.

Here is the first fix for this error:

  1. Disconnect the printer's power cord.
  2. Press and hold the power button while reconnecting the power cord.
  3. While still holding down the power button, press the reset button twice (red circle with a triangle).
  4. Release the power button. The printer takes about 10 seconds to show the number 0.
  5. Press + to change the value from 0 to 1.
  6. When this value is 1, press color button; this will light up two leds. One is for plain paper and the other for photo paper. At this point, feed the printer with paper.
  7. Press the power button twice and the printer will print a test page (if this page doesn't print by itself, press the "color" button once and the test page will print).
  8. When you print this sheet the value in the display returns to zero.
  9. Open the printer cover and remove the cartridges. With the printer still open, disconnect the power outlet.
  10. Close the lid and turn on the printer.
  11. Now put your cartridges back in the printer, and wait for 2 minutes. The amber light beside the black ink and color ink should have disappeared.

If you continue to get the error message, try this:
  1. Disconnect power cord.
  2. Press and hold the power button whilst plugging the cord back in.
  3. While still holding the power button, press the reset button twice. The printer's display will read "Factory 1".
  4. Allow the printer to finish warming up (takes around 25 seconds).
  5. The word "idle" appears on the screen.
  6. Disconnect the power cord.
  7. Reconnect the power cord.
  8. Turn the printer back on.

Here is the manual for the Canon MP150.

Printer is having a brain fart. Simply disconnect all cables and power cords from equipment. Leave disconnected for 1 minute while you check connections of power cord to wall and print cable to computer. If hey are secure then wait 1 minute and reconnect your print cable to the printer, and reconnect your power cord to the printer. Now turn on printer and message should have cleared
