Question about HP LaserJet 1020 Printer

Can I print on anything aside from regular copy paper. ie, thin, parchment like paper? I am trying to copy a very old, thin letter my Dad wrote to my Mom and to make it look authentic I would like to find very thin paper to replicate the original.

Yes you can all you have to do is use the manual paper tray that is usually on the front wher you would put other papar like envelopes and other materials

When typing on carbonized paper, doesn't seem to be striking hard enough. When typing on regular paper, print is fine

I suppose you are using carbonized paper to obtain 2 copies... Then probably the first sheet of paper you are using (the one over the carbon paper) is too thick. I remember that when one wanted to make copies, it was important to use thin paper or the copy (the page under the carbonized paper) would appear too pale. Try with a thinner paper, especially as the paper used in printers and photocopiers is stronger than the one that was produced for typewriters.

Special paper tray is empty error

Sounds like someone requested A4 size paper in a print job instead of the normal Letter size paper...
Try putting regular letter size paper in the bypass tray and then set it up as A4 size...the print job should then print out on that paper.

How increase decrease paper size when copy on hp m1005

The paper size setting are in the print menu. Fairly similar on mac and PC. When you try to print stuff you will see a window with options for the print (colour, copies, etc...) in that menu there is a paper size section. Most printers dont take anything wider then US letter but you can do longer (just put it in the slot) or slimmer buy pushing the plastic paper handlers in on either side of the paper bay.

How can you configure Zebra printer 105sl (over network) to print labels in IE and have a regular printer from reducing the document size from a thin client?

I have this issue whenever I set my default printer to a label printer. Use the other printer as the default and set to the zebra only when you need it.

Just replaced ink and is barley printing regular letter

Your print head needs replacing:

Clean the print head then print a demo sheet.

  1. Verify that inkjet paper is loaded in the paper trays.
  2. On your desktop, start the KODAK All-in-One Home Center, then select the Help [?] icon.
  3. From the Help menu, select Maintenance, then select Print head Cleaning. The On/Off light flashes green during the cleaning procedure.
  4. When the On/Off light glows a steady green, press Photo and Copy simultaneously to print a demo sheet.
If the Demo print is bad- IE: no black, blurry print etc., then you may need to replace the print head:
