are you listening via FM transmitter function?

if so, make sure that you do either.

1) when watching the same DVD on both screens, disable the FM transmit on one DVD.
2) when watching separate DVDs on each screen, make sure that the frequencies are separate by as big a gap as you can make.

I had this problem and it was due to both screens transmitting on the same FM frequency and interfering with each other.

I also found that the lower FM frequencies stopped my GPS from working!

After altering the FM transmit settings (FM-TX) button on remote, it was all good.

2000 Silverado FM radio (only) no sound

You can try resetting the radio by removing power from it for a few minutes, reconnecting it and trying again. However, it sounds like an internal electronics problem that will either require a repair or replacement.

Have lost sound on the system. I have checked to see is system is muted and it is not and the FM Transmitter is not enabled.

Hello,

just to confirm this is the nuvi 750 unit? if it is something else let me know.

Turn the unit off, and then back on. Now Slide the power key to the left and hold for 10 seconds the unit turns off. Turn the unit back on, it should work normally.

if you still don't have sound, try playing some music from the unit - Touch tools, media player, touch source to open the music player, trouch browse, touch a category, to play the entire category touch play all.

if you don't have any music in the unit (mp3 files are supported and you can load them to the memory card or with a data cable over your computer)

Double check that you got the volume turned up if you don't hear anything, from the menu page touch volume and then touch the speaker icon with the waves coming out of it to adjust it up.

if the sound is still gone, lets reset the entire unit and restore it to factory settings.

Enter the maintenance mode as shown on this video by holding your finger on the bottom left corner, sometimes the right corner of the nuvi and once in maintenance mode select clear all user data, that will reset the unit back to factory.

DMR-EZ485V turns on, says HELLO, but will not do anything else. Restarting unit didn't help. Help!!

Had this happen after manually adding channels as well. Turn off unit (Hold Power for 10 seconds until it goes off or o's scroll and stop). Disconnect the power for at least 10 minutes. While power is disconnected, detach the antenna/cable box wire from the back of the unit (RF-in). Power back on while unit is NOT attached to the RF-in cable. The channel with the problem will likely show if the unit comes on all the way to 'normal'. While the RF-in is detached, you should be able to program that channel manually to delete from the channels selected. Turn unit off again and reattach the RF-in. This solved my problem (so far!). Good luck!!

Not able to do fm transmittal

if the headsets work the fm transmitter may already be working. unless they are using an ir signal. you can test this by blocking the the ir or (infrared) led's on the lcd and the dvd player , if the headsets still work than its probably being sent via fm signal. turn your head unit on to fm andstart at 87.1mhz and work your way up to 89.9mhz in .1mhz intervals fm transmiters are usualy some where in that frequency.hope that helps

On my ad212 dvd system by Myron and Davis it has an attached fm radio modulator. It has 4 channels you can use and they corresponed to unused frequencies in the users area of travel . Mine is set to 88.7 fm and all I had to do was set the FM radio to 88.7 to get the audio playing on the dvd movie.

No sound from anything but FM

Disconnect whatever's connected to the blue wire behind the unit, and re-connect it to the blue/white wire instead.

Crackling from surrond sound

I have a SONY home theater4.gif system, HT-C800DP, there is a crackling sound when playing DVDs - it is almost as if the unit overheats. Is there any solution to this? Sometimes I cannot even finish a DVD as the noise gets very loud.
Thanks,
Cindy
