It may be a blown fuse, cavity thermostat, magnetron thermostat, or a problem on the control circuit board.

Having the brand and full model number would have helped us help you.

At our Web site, we have a video available showing how to remove a typical over the range grille in under 5 minutes. Often the fuse is behind the grille.

You can find helpful exploded view diagrams and order parts for most brands by entering your full model number from the tag on the oven here.

For other brands, you can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and part ordering help here.

I recommend that you bookmark that link to your favorites.

Magnetron is gone, just to be sure remove the microwave and use on a different socket. sometimes the breaker becomes faulty after 10 AMPS.

Microwave keeps tripping circuit breaker

Chances are you have a shorted "monitor" interlock switch, or its mount is broken.

See this door switch help file.

You can find links to helpful exploded view diagrams and part ordering help here.

To give you more specific help, we would need the brand name and

full model number of your microwave.

Microwave Model WES1450DM1BB I boiled 4 cups of

Owners of a GE WES model might want to look at this blog post.

I'm sure the magnetron overheated and tripped the magnetron's thermal cutout.

I'd strongly suggest taking it back if you can.

Powers on will not work

Check the breaker . A microwave oven should have a dedicated circuit plug a lamp in the oven plug in if it comes on you have another problem if it wont come on flip the breaker they can trip just enough that you cant see it is tripped flip it all the way off then flip it back on again see if it works. You might have to do this a few times even if light clock comes on it might be tripped just enough to not let enough power come through use a multi meter if you have one to check the current.

Microwave randomly just goes out. Have to go to circuit breaker box and flip the breaker. Can then reset the microwave.

Is it just the microwave or are there other things riunning on the same circuit?
Electric jug, dishwasher. TV

If nothing else is on at the same time and the Mwave trips then it time to get a new Mwave. But have an electrician put in an additional circuit to lessen the load on that one circuit. Cost about $70-100 depending on distant of meterbox to the main plug.

please tate our help to keep the srvice online

I pluged the microwave in it was working and when I pushed it back and when I looked at it it waqs not working any moren mdl # is 87449 kenmore counter top microwave

Check the outlet it is plugged into. Remove the microwave plug. If you don't have a voltage meter handly to test the voltage at the outlet or the continuity of the microwave plug, I would suggest you plug in a lamp from your living room into the outlet. If it doesn't work, either the outlet is a tripped (GFIC) Ground Fault Interuption Circuit outlet or the circuit breaker tripped in your electrical panel box or the microwave cord is damaged and caused a short and blew the fuse. To check these I would try plugging the light in and press the red reset button located on the wall outlet or flip tripped circuit breaker in panel. If it's a damaged cord or fuse, you can visit this web site for Sears parts www.searspartsdirect.com If you found any of these suggestions helpful, please rate my solutions. Thanks D. Lange
