Hello,

The smaller one on the back is a vent, the one on the choke side is the supply line.

Hope this helps.

No gas to spark plug on atv

carb float/needle sticking opening the carb drain will provide evidence if fuel is reaching fuel bowl, if fuel is present then i would suspect the carb is gummed up and it will need to be cleaned ( all jets/passages ) another area could be that the gas cap vent/line is plugged not allowing fuel to flow by gravity feed.

Sounds like contamination has set into the fuel shutoff valve on the bottom of the fuel tank, or the fuel cap vent hole is plugged. Test the fuel line that comes from the fuel tank. First turn the valve off, disconnect the fuel line that feeds the carb, insert the fuel line into clear small container, then open the fuel valve to the on position and look for fuel flow, now turn the valve to the reserve position and check again for fuel flow. If these test fail to yield fuel try the procedure again this time with the fuel tank cap loosened and check for fuel flow. If in both tests the fuel fails to flow then the problem can be isolated to the fuel valve/tank outlets or the fuel line to the carb.

well there are a couple of things that can cause this to happen. first check your oil and coolent. odd sounding i know but this can cause it. second check and make sure your cluchs are working correctly. next if all that fails then i would check the air intake for blockages and then service the carb.

Polaris 300 it will run get loud and die

2 strokes get loud before they run out of gas. check your fuel lines and carb to see if your getting enough fuel to the engine.

BROKEN HOSE ON CARB

the rubber line is an atmospheric vent and it routes down along the frame and out from under the bike tward the back, if there is gas in that hose then that means that the needle and seat are not sealing off inside the carburetor causing the engine to flood out.......best solution would be to rebuild the carb that is giving the trouble, but i would rebuild them both while u had them off.....good luck happy atv'ing

Fuel line issues on Yamaha Timber Wolf ATV

That was an atmospheric vent you found that should not have gas in it. If it does, the carb has over flowed. It probably needs to be cleaned with special attention paid to the needle valve and float assemblies. It is routed up high to prevent water and debris from entering it and clogging it up. It should have holes for it to pass through on the snorkel coming out of the air box behind the gas tank under the seat.
