I keep getting memory full message and route waypoints full on nuvi 610/660

After installing the city navigator NT middle east, i keep getting a memory full message followed by route way point memory full. If I try to save a location, I get a database error. I'll appreciate any help on this.

The Navigator memory card will come with the a countrie's maps. Maybe you need to take the memory card into the computer and download more maps. Also try to erase the nt middle east location and start over.

Only shows us routes not canada

I fell foul of that the other way. I have Canada maps and lent it to a friend who was going to California.

You need a map that covers Canada and it is an extra cost. The USA is in two zones, or one map does both zones.

You need to buy the Canada maps and then put it on an SD card. The map costs $84

My Garmin Nuvi 205w with USA maps wouldn't let me enter the State of California when I recently visited there. Every time I got as far as entering Ca in the state/province section, it would instantly go to...

If you are using the USA maps make sure its the City Navigator North American NT

Seem to me it is still working with your map from the Carribean, this would have to be changed in the map area located on you nuvi, it will only give you one map of that country at a time.

When you visit you must change it here..... Tools.... Settings...Maps...on bottom of screen press Map Info

when in the USA always have City Navigator North American NT checked and uncheck your area

Everything went dead within 2 hours. The only thing the unit will do is display the following message. - - - - No detailed maps found that support routing. The nuvi cannot be used without them. - - - - -

I would check your map to see if it has a check mark in it.....

Tools.... Settings....Maps..... on bottom of screen Map Info.....make sure a check is in City Navigator North American NT

I brought my Garmin Nuvi to Ireland but am not getting information and maps for my current location. How can I make it work here.

For the nuvi, you need City Navigator NT - Europe. It's available loaded onto an SD card that you just plug into the unit. Since you're in a hurry, you might want to call Garmin and see if they can suggest a retailer that might have it in stock. Here's their contact information for support in the UK. Good luck!

City Navigator Lower 48 States NT 2009

Hello parteeboy24,

The on board memory in your Nuvi 200 may not have enough free space to hold the map. You may be able to free up some space by deleting maps or language packs that you don't use. (Be careful to back up any files you are going to delete.) Or you can add an optional SD memory card to the unit to increase the storage capacity on the GPS.

Best Regards,
Ken

Memory full is being displayed when i try to go to a new destination and when i try to delete a favourite the unit turns off.

Garmin nuvi 610 T
memory full was being displayed on screen whilst on destination ,sometimes followed by route waypoint memory full .

I found by turning unit off , then holding finger on top left of screen ,and at the same time turning back on again the unit would go into maintenance mode.
Follow prompts on screen to reset waypoint memory.
Mine works as good as gold now, hope this helps!
