Question about Acomdata (HD320UFAPE5-72) (HD320UFAPE572) 320 GB Hard Drive
If the drive doesn't spin up, then the housing/controller has probably died. The hard drive is likely okay though. You can purchase empty hard drive housings for around $20-30 and transplant your drive into it. Take the old drive out of the housing first to determine if it is IDE or SATA. If you don't know what this means, you may be better off taking it to a shop to have the drive transplanted. It would take a technician 5-10 minutes to do.
Hope this helps!
