The ratio is 50to 1 . If you can get it use stihl two cycle oil mix it is a very good product that I have used for 25 years and have had no problems. You can get it in 6.4 oz. bottles that makes two and one half gallon. I like my mix a little on the rich side so I use a 2.2 gal. gas can. Hope this helps you and have a good new year. Thank you

I have a Ryobi 4-cycle S430 weedeater. Do you use regular gas? If so,what type of oil do you use?

A 4-cycle engine requires regular gasoline whereas a 2-cycle engine requires oil to be mixed with the gas.
A 4-cycle engine requires regular gas in the gas tank and engine oil in another tank. Your owners manual will tell you what grade of oil to pour into the oil tank compartment of the weed-eater.
A 2-cycle engine requires regular gas plus a certain amount of 2-in-1 oil mixed with it. The oil that is mixed into the gas container and shaken together to "mix" the gas and oil before pouring into the gas/oil tank helps to lubricate the moving parts of the engine like the piston movement between the piston and the pistons' wall known as the cylinder wall. Also the oil aids in the creation of a tight seal which causes compression to occur that is responsible for optimum operation of the engine itself. It also provides lubrication to the piston rings and reduces friction as the piston rings push against the cylinder wall.
4-cycle engine oil can be purchased at any oil store like Canadian Tire/Sears/Napa Auto Parts. Just ask for oil for your weed-eater and let them know that your engine requires 4-cycle engine oil. I am sure the service clerk will point you in the right direction.
I hope this helps!Have a great day!

After running my 4stroke e30weed trimer for a little bit it started to bog get pretty hot then shut down.after it cooled it started again, but what can i do to fix that

Is this a two cycle that you mix the oil in the gas? If it is it sounds like you are not mixing the oil right. If you run a two cycle with out mixing oil in the gas it will seize up and over heat., I don't know what you mean when you say 4 stroke.

Do I mix the oil and gas together and pour it in the gas tank or do I pour the gas in the tank and the waverunner mix's the oil and gas together?

Mix the oil and gas together first.
Or you can add some gas into tank, then add some oil, then add more gas, then bit more oil ... so oil-gas mixture is uniform.

Petrol strimmer overheating

The fins on the flywheel moving air aided by the machine's covers along with sufficient oil in the gas mix keep the machine cool. You have a problem with one of these. Also, make sure there is no debris on or around the aluminum fins on the engine cylinder and make SURE you are using the right amount of 2-stroke oil in your gas/oil mix. 40:1 should be about right, that is 3.2 Oz/Gallon Gas. A little more oil than that won't hurt anything but less than that can cause your problem. Post back if needed.

WHAT TYPE OF FUEL, STRAIGHT OR OIL/FUEL MIX & WHAT PROPORTIONS ?

Hello,

Determine if your engine is a two-stroke or a four-stroke. Check the gas tank on your lawnmower or the owner's manual to determine what type of engine you have.

Read the label of your two-stroke oil. Follow the directions on the package to ensure the right mix.
Measure and pour the gasoline in to the empty gas can.

Add four ounces of two-stroke oil per each gallon of gas.

Replace the cap on the gas can and shake the oil and gas to mix. Add fuel to your engine.

Take care.

I have a techumseh snow blower 5.5 engine. I need to know what type of fuel it needs. It says on the outside something about a 50:1 oil gas mix and lists some types of oils. Where can I get these oils,...

go to your hardware store and ask for some 2 cycle 50:1 oil, mix that with a gallon of gas and you're good to go. Before you mix, make sure that you read the oil container for it's recommendations! You can purchase a small container of oil that is all measured for 1 gallon of gas

What reatio of gas to oil? And what kind of oil?

32:1 / 40:1 will be fine.... your choice of pre-mix oil...pick your fav brand . use a ratio-right cup and make it simple

  1. Pump one gallon of gasoline into a gas can. Ads by Google
    '; for(i = 0; i '+ '' + google_ads[i].line1 + ' ' + google_ads[i].line2 + ' ' + google_ads[i].line3 + '

  2. 2Measure out the proper amount of two cycle oil in the Ratio Rite.
  3. 3Pour the required amount of oil into the gas can with the gasoline.
  4. 4Shake the container lightly until all of the oil is thoroughly mixed in with the gasoline.

What kind of oil does the yardman 3100 use? and does it use standard gas like in a lawn mower? what is the mix ratio?

This unit should use 3.2 oz 2 cycle oil per gallon of gas. You should be able to buy this at any hardware/lawn and garden store. It will say 2 cycle oil. It is OK to use a synthetic as well as petroleum based. It's handly that it comes in the right size bottle to mix with a gallon of gas. You use regular gas that you would purchase for a mower or your car. Take your gas container, put a bit of gas in at the pump, add your oil (the 3.2 oz bottle) and put the rest of a gallon in the can. This filling procedure will mix your oil with the gas just fine.

You may be able to get more info from the website that has your owners manual.

I dont have the manual and Im not sure what ype of oil I should put on this chain saw. On the left The nob sais oil (which kind?) and on the right side it sais oil/gas mix (which kind?) what do i put on...

The Left knob needs chain oil. Available in most hardware stores. The right is gas mixed with 2 stroke motor oil. Usually a 50:1 mix. Ie. 50 parts gas to 1 part oil. 2 stroke oil comes with a built in measuring tool and directions printed on the bottle.
