Follow the wires from the blower to the circuit board. If there are more than one speed on the blower, unplug the current speed and plug in the wire for a different speed. The circuit board is usually marked Heat, Cool and Park. Take the one on Park and put it on Heat. You can also check for 110 volts on the Heat terminal after the burner runs for about 90 seconds. You can also test the blower by energizing it from a 110 volt source.

Heat works until thermostat calls for aux heat, then blower shuts off with outside unit still running.

Some blowers shut off depending on the system. Do you have electric hest strips inside? If not the blower will shut off. The outdoor fan should not be running if in defrost mode. If you have heat strips then you likely have low voltage wiring crossed

Inside blower does not come on

Verify power to unit, if so there's few things it could be, Fan Relay, Thermostat, Limit Switch, Capacitor, Burnt/Bad Electrical Connection and of course Bad Fan Motor.

Yeah i would change out that board .Should be a 3 amp fuse so maybe as simple as that but if not a cycling blower motor is a tell tale sign of curcuit board

I can hear the heater come on but the fan will not start

It would help to have more information on your heater, age and brand. If it's an older unit it may be a bad limit switch. on both old or newer it could be a bad blower motor or motor start capacitor. On newer models flame sensor may be bad and not leaving burner on long enough to start blower. Sorry I can't be more helpful. One thing you can try is to remove front cover on furnace then cover on blower compartment. Check to see if blower turns freely. Reinstall blower door making sure it is in proper position as most models have a switch on top frame of furnace that must be closed for blower to work. Also check on your thermostat and see if it has a fan or fan on position. If it does switch to that position and see if fan runs.It would help to diagnois if you would time burner when it was on. Hope this helps some. Thanks

Blower motor does not respond?

First, Open the Blower Access panel door of your air handler and touch the motor to see if it is hot to the touch.
If it is hot to the touch, turn everything off of approximately 1 hour.
Then with the blower access panel door off, turn the FAN back on and listen for any sounds. If the motor does not start, try spinning the blower wheel with your cautious, because the motor could start up while you turn the wheel. If this happens, chances are good you have either a bad capacitor or bad bearings. To test the bearings, turn off all the power. Grab the end of the shaft and start trying to move it from side-to-side in every direction. Do not move it up-and-down. Up-and-down will not hurt anything, but it will not tell you anything either. If there is any movement side-to-side, the bearings are bad and the motor will need to be replaced. If you do not feel side-to-side movement, then there is a good chance it's the capacitor.....take to A/C supply house....they will test and offer you a replacement if it is needed.
If the motor is cold and it doesn't try to spin and it doesn't try to run on it's own after you spin it, then the problem is in the control circuit. Try putting a jumper at R & G. If the motor then runs, you have a problem with either your thermostat or the wiring from your thermostat to your Air Handler. If after jumpering R & G the motor does not try to run, then you may have a failed blower relay or a failed board (if the relay is internal in the board). Let me know if you need additional help. :-)

Fan doesn't come on

First is the blower motor casing hot to the touch? If so, the motor is probably bad, capacitor good? If the blower isn't running the burners will shut down due to overheating. You could have a dirty flame sensor, circut board problem or loose/bad wire connection.

Replacing blower motor in furnace w/Fasco brand #D727

Some one missed the wiring diagram. I believe its like this:
L1 = Line 1 = (Hot all are same thing)
Black Hi
Blue Med
Red LO
Now usually the black is for AC and connects to a normally Open (NO) contact on the blower relay.
The heater speed (either red or blue) go the the normally Closed (NC) on the blower relay and on one side of this wire or contact on the relay it goes to the heating blower thermostat on the furnace.
The remaining wire (blue or red) you tape off.
L1 also feeds the Run Capacitor on 1 side and the Brown wire feeds the opposite side

The white wire is Neutral and goes to the neutral on the main line.

If this helps you please rate me accordingly and good luck.

the flame detector rod is dirty? try cleaning with sand paper and scraping also. there should be a small amp. reading threw wire coming from flame detector rod. in milli amp range. increases when running. some times i use a jumper to hold gas valve on once started to allow time to test amps.
