My experience with Lasko heaters is with the small portable ceramic types. On mine there are two knobs. One is the "Power"; the fan symbol is for fan only, then (I) Low Power and (II) High Power 1500 watts. The other know is the thermostat from (-) to (+). Set the thermostat towards (+) until the temp in the room is the way you want it. Then turn the thermostat know towards (-) until the unit shuts off. This is now the temperature setting and the heater will cycle on and off to this setting. Hope this helps.

How do i prevent my lasko heater to keep raising the temperature? i can't seem to set it to stay on one!

If its a central heating unit you should make sure the batteries in the thermostat are good and the fan switch is on auto. then you can open the cover to the heater and tap on the relay. that will usually shut it off if its just sticking. It could be a black box by itself or a box on the circuit board depending on the model

I have model 5805 and i seems to always run, never shuts off and doesn't get my childrens small room warm (10x10) thought room wasn't holding heat so i put my lasko tower heater in there and it worked just...

Sounds like the ceramic heater has lost it's ability to heat completely. In other words, it doesn't peak any more.

Can it be repaired? Possibly, but finding the part(s) may prove difficult. However, if you can safely disassemble the heater, I would recommend that you try cleaning the interior with a can of compressed air that has a straw nozzle (like you clean your computer with). It may simply be a case that it's clogged with dust and lint. Try not to disturb any of the electrical parts when you do this.

Hope this helps solve your problem.

I just purchased a lasko model 5805 ceramic heater. What's the cost to operate.

look for the power rating of your heater (usually it is in Watts (W) and convert it to kilo Watts (kW) unit by diving it by 1000).

kW = W / 1000.

now divide the kW by hour many hours your planning to operate your unit.

power consumption = kW/operating hours

when you get your power consumption value then multiply it with the power cost (you can find it usually in your bill).

cost to operate = power consumption x power cost.

Our Lasko 5620 has a digital control, but we can't set the temperature. It says at 76 degrees, no matter what we do. Hitting the control buttons does not work.

Based from your comments, it seems that you have a
defective digital control. Have a check up for this item.
It may need to be replaced. Hope this will help you.

The heater shuts off when it reaches two degrees above the set temperature and turns back on when it is two degrees below.
