I don't have the original remote. Hooked up my PS2 to the input ports but can't find the a/v channel to let my system play. Any suggestions?

You have a DVD player hooked etc to either channel three or four? Usually this equipment is connected into the Jacks on the rear of the set, that is to say hooked to a video input and not with the tuner, if hooked that way select the input with the remote for the set and see the picture....

Clarify how you are hooked and where

the jacks on side and or back are AV inputs and your unit connects to them and then you select the input with the remote or via the menu.

Either you are not connected correctly or not on the right input or a mismatch of some kind exists

New tv's don't use dead channels like 00 anymore for there inputs.. They use sources to change from different inputs.. Make sure you have your ps2 hooked up into input plugs on the tv and then turn it on the ps2 then look on the new controller for the tv & find a button saying source .. Press that until you see your ps2 on the screen. If not check your connections try again.

1) The set of input (Yellow= Composite video, Red= Right channel audio, White= Left channel audio). This set of input is for composite video.

2) The set of input (Red= Red video signal, Green= Green video signal + sync, Blue= Blue signal, Red= Right channel audio, White = Left channel audio (the Red and White will be grouped close together). This set of input is used for Component video for HD signal.

You should try using composite video source (Yellow RCA jack) from DVD player and feed to the monitor and see if it works OK with all color showing that way we acn find out if it is the video source problem or the monitor video signal processing problem. Try the PS2 on the TV if it works OK also.

Or www.digikey.com just make sure to use caps with low ESR, 105c, high ripple current, long life rating such as PANASONIC FM or FC series.

Make sure you do not have your PS2 plugged into an "Output" set of A/V slots. Change where you plug it in and scroll through your input channels to find it.

I have a similar problem except I have a Diamond Vision (small) TV and I have my ps3 (The old one not the new one) hooked up to it but I can't seem to find the channel to display it? (I do not have the remote to my TV)

If you want to use a PS2 with an RCA stereo monitor Colortrak plus television, folllow these steps:
1.Buy a universal remote compatible with RCA televisions if you don't have the original.
2.If your remote needs programming, program it with the manual provided.
3.Goto Menu
4.Goto Alarm
5.Goto Alarm Channel
6.Set Alarm Channel to 00
7.Exit Menu
8.Goto channel 00 on the television by using the remote.
9.You should be in AV mode, and able to play your PS2.
P.S. I don't know if you need to set Alarm Channel to 00, but that's how i did it.

Some of the inputs will be below channel 2. Just channel down below channel 2 and see if it finds them..

i can be that ur playstation wire is not gud....
