Question about JVC TH-S11 Theater System
The open/close button will not open the dvd tray and a "locked" message appears in the window. can open the tray, says *tray lock*
I had the same problem. I found these instructions to unlock it. It worked for me. Good Luck!
Unplug the DVD player for 30 seconds. Turn the DVD player on WITH THE REMOTE. Press Enter on the remote. Press 8, 4, 2, 6, 9. Press Enter on the remote.
The Tray is suppose to open automatically after doing the above. Mine didn't. I pressed the open button on the remote and it opened.

Depending on your sytem, press the stop or pause button while system is!It's in the manual
On the center unit ONLY:
While the system is turned off
• The system turns on and “LOCKED” appears on the display
• If you try to eject the disc, “LOCKED” appears to indicate that
the tray is locked.
Carry out the same operation again.
• The system turns on and “UNLOCKED” appears on the display

To unlock, manually press and HOLD the open/close button & the stop button simultaneously, and HOLD them both down until the lock picture disappears. The DVD will eject when you press the open/close button.
To lock the DVD inside the machine, repeat the same step, and it will lock it inside.
