You may need to remove the gas tank from the cooker and open all valves and close them back tightly. Then reconnect the tank and turn the valve on SLOWLY just a hair. The new tanks have a safety device inside that shuts down the flow if the pressure goes out too fast. More here

Troubleshooting nexgrill charcoal gas grill

did you replace the battery in the igniter?
less than 100 degrees indicates a safety has engaged, close gas valve, open burner valves.....wait 5 minutes. keep lid open, close burner valves, open gas valve until you hear the regulator click
turn on "ignition burner" and ignite (with switch or at specified port).
After this part is lit open other burners one at a time , waiting until each lights before opening the next.

The igniter connection does not have the white cover to the side burner so part of the igniter metal is exposed. When I look at other grills, there is a white couplilng type piece so the igniter wire

It'll be fine...A tiny explosion happens anyway when a grill is lit.. Its just a ceramic fitted piece... Its ok...you can still grill..;-) if you replace you'll have to replace the whole ignitor.Have fun grilling....

Landmann 12376 ignition

Firstly, check the distance between ignite and burner, the spark must contact with the hole of burner.
secondly, turn on the control at maximum level then keep and push control knob try to Push-button Piezo ignition several times.
Finally, If you do not find out any trouble with gas supply, connection and assembly, do the same with step 2 however, Instead of push the button use the paper or wood with flame on to ignite for side burner for the first times, after that keep it running for few minute to heat burner, then turn off then use Push-button Piezo ignition to ignite.

With my experience it can work 100% after you heat the burner, if not call me. ^^

Purchased a grillpro 3 (three burners plus side burner) from orchard. They installed but side burner will ignite. Igniter is working and I hear gas when I turn the burner knob. Fire the igniter and it will...

You're getting gas to the burners, just not enough to ignite the burners.

To solve this problem, first be sure you have adequate gas in the tank. If that checks out OK, do the following:

1. Turn the gas tank valve OFF and disconnect the hose from the tank.

2. Wait 5 minutes and reconnect the hose to the tank.

3. Open the tank valve VERY, VERY SLOWLY (Slow motion, slow).

4. Once the tank valve is fully open, light the burner farthest from the tank first and set the burner
control knob on HIGH. Does the flame height look correct for being set on HIGH? If so, light
the remaining burners the same way. Do all the burner flames look correct? If so, you solved
the problem. Remember, to always open the tank valve Very, Very Slowly.

If that didn't solve the problem, you will need to replace the grill's Hose/Regulator Assembly. It runs about $30.00 at any home center or hardware store that sells grills & accessories. If you replace it, turn the tank.

I hope this helped you & thanks for choosing FixYa.

Need help re: replacing igniter of Gas Grill

If it is like mine, you have to remove the front control panel on the side burner and the front of the side shelf. Remove four screws behind the fronts below the shelf/burner and then you will have access to the screws to remove the main control panel. Be careful with all the hoses and gas piping. If the electronic ignitor is melted like mine(i am on #3), you have more problems than the igniter. I had to replace the burners and the gas valves to stop the flame from "backing up" into this area. Hope this helps.

check the gas tube that comes off the burner for spiders. They will build a nest in there over winter and not allow the gas to get through

Ignition and gas problem

because main gas supply is distributed from a single point to various components,i suspect an obstruction in the oriface of your grill(probably a spider web).as far as ignition, most grill ignition systems are powered by a AA or 9 volt battery.try changing and see if you have ignition

Own a charmglow gas grill 3 burner, having trouble igniting burners will not ignite, how do you match start

I have used those long-necked lighters as a temporary thing. You can buy replacement igniter kits at Lowe's/HomeDepot/similar, and they are easy to use. I hate to admit it, but I have taken the igniter out of the side burner that is attached to the grill and used it, until I bought a replaement. Match starting is a less than favorable option, as you are putting your hands and face in a bad place, but if you just have to do it, remove the grill grate over the burner that you intend to light. Get your fire source to the burner, and turn the gas on low. If the burner doesn't light pretty quickly, remove the fire source, shut off tha gas and wait several minutes with the lid still up for the gas to dissipate. You don't want to be trying to light the grill and have it flash on you. Most grills have an opening at the rear if the grill for manual lighting. Even so, the long lighters are waaaaaay better than the old kitchen match. I'm sure that you know, but always have the lid open when lighting the grill. (I just had to say it!)
Hope that this helps...really!
Best regards, --W/D-- please feel free to rete this solution! Thanx!

One side won't light.

Prior to attching the hose from the regulator to the tank, I turned on all five burners, opened the gas to the tank, allowed the gas to run a few minutes to equalize, be careful when turning on as the gas has built up. I have had no problems since.

I belive part of the problem is that my grill has an automatic ignitor, that can be problematic after changing to a new tank. Thats why I had the burners on (open) prior to attaching the new tank prior then opening the valve on the tank so it doesn't ignite.

Gas grill loses pressure while side burner does not

I had the exact same problem with my Jenn-Aire and so I replaced the regulator for $20 and it now works fine.
