To adjust the oven door place a broom handle between the door and the frame and gently apply pressure till the hinge comes out just a hair. That should make the oven door close all propah.
If your ignitor continues to spark then one of the switches is shorted. To check remove a wire from each switch till the sparking ceases. oven door does not close evenly-top right corner - themobilian_649.jpg
Here is a nice video which shows how them spark switchs work on a Frigidaire model. Note: all of these are basically the same design:

Ok first thing we would be checking as to the spark does one burner spark or do all burners spark if they are all sparking then this would most likely be a switch problem inside the switches when you turn the switch there is a connection point that in some units seems to arch together when this happens it allows power ot go past the switch continuously whenever you turn on one switch all would be sparking also you said that it does spark so your spark modulator would not have to be checked because you are already receiving the spark as too fixing this problem you would have to take a voltage meter or multimeter and folow the power to each switch the switch that has power leaving it while that switch is off but still sparks the igntor would be the faulty switch and would either have to be replaced or fixed in some way usually replaced now as to the door this is a very painstaking task of tightening and loosening and adjusting on the hinged support which in some models are springed and others are levered clips in my personal opinon it is much easier to just order new hinges that slide on the inside of the door rather then trying to straiten the old ones even if you do decide to buy the new ones though you still have to adjust them after you install them if you are also not versed in doing the above electrical test on the switches please contact a technician if you have any further questions please message me back and please remember when our chat has concluded to rank how this opinion has helped in your appliance situation Thanks again

Kenmore range 665.75842005 stove burners won't light & can't open top

Do you hear the faint "clicking" noise that indicates the oven is making an ignition spark? Sometimes those ignition posts need to be "Cleaned" due to contamination from food residue, or even excess cleaner residue. I use a stiff tooth brush and literally brush the ignition tips like you brush your teeth. Sometimes it takes more thsn one try. If not, the below parts replacement site might help.

Kitchenaid superba oven

It is very possible that moisture from the cleaning has caused the ignition switches to make enough resistance to cause the burners to spark. It usually goes away after the stove has dried out. If it continues after a day or so one or more of the ignitor switches may need replacing.

We are cranking up this BRAND NEW Vulcan flat top. Weh have the convection oven below up and running, but we can't even see a pilot light for the flat top. Advice anyone? Culinary-yours Chef Geir

older ovens have pilots but the newer machines are electronic ignition, there are ignitors in the oven and electrodes or ignitors on the top burners, when you turn the knob for the burner you should hear a clicking sound and see a spark around the burner, that's what lites the burner, the gas comes in and the spark ignites it,i don't know much about your machine but it can't be any different from other stoves.if none are sparking there should be a spark module in there or they could have separate modules,if you send the full model number i can look it up for you

One or more igniters are trying to light burners that aren't turned on .One burner is on. The other post on this never got answered properly.

When you turn the burner dial, all igniters spark. Most brands work this way. The dial activates all igniters to spark but only opens the gas valve attached to that dial.

Do you mean that they continue to spark even when you are not trying to light the stove?

Tappan TGFS26C, Oven igniter not even

Lets take the oven problem first. Sounds like you have a Hot Surface Ignitor problem. This is the device that glows and lights the burner. You can buy a universal ignitor at most appliance or heating and air conditioning supply houses. Note carefully how the old one is mounted. You may have to make some adjustments to mount the new ignitor, but it MUST be close to the gas burner like the old one! You don't smell gas because the gas valve will not open until the ignitor is hot. All ignitors work with the same voltage, so simply connect the new wires to the old ones.

I'm not certain if you have a standing pilot for the stove top burners or electronic ignition. Remove the top panel to check. If you have a gas pilot, relight it. If electronic ignition, clean the ignitors. If that does not solve the problem you may have to call a technician, as these systems can be complex.

Hope this helps.

Magic Chef Gas Range

Does this oven glows before igniting the gas in the oven? if it does this unit uses a glow bar ignitor in the oven and spark module for the top burners. If it you dont see the spark( or hear the ticking sound the there will be no ignition. Do you smell gas even if there was no ignition happening? If there's gas that eliminate your gas regulator. If it's only one burner with spark but gas won't come on then your gas valve is deffective. But if there's gas and no spark ten it could be poor grounding, wiring, connection or switch or even spark module problem. You to need call your local Appliance service provider on this one. I do not recommend anyone fixing gas related problem if they are not a qualified servicer.

Replacing control valve/burner valve switch

This just started to happen to ours too. It's because you can't get let water get into the valve/switch assembly. Ours got so much water in there that it was making huge sparks and flames which charred up the switches. You may have to replace the whole 5-burner igniter switch assembly. I think it's part number 74010753. To access, remove 2 screws under the front of stovetop. open Top oven door to access. remove the 2 screws that hold the gas valve assembly. Remove 2 screws out of each burner assembly. Remove the green grounding wire on the right hand corner of stove top. The stove top will come off revealing the 5 white igniter switch assembly which is all wired together in parallel. Remove the large metal panel on the rear. There are two wires that are off the 5-burner switch assembly that you unplug. Replace this whole assembly and the problem should be fixed. Hope this helps
