Question about Lenovo IdeaPad Y460 Notebook

All touch button on my y460 is not working. And is there a way for me to reinstall veriface? it just went missing!

I think try to reinstall first the Driver for your SlideNav. You can try thist steps.

First download and install this Driver IN8STW07WW5.exe After you install that Driver Run this other Driver for your SlideNav IN7STW08WW5.exe, you can get that drivers on this link.

There's a possibility that the software itself is corrupted, you will need to uninstall and reinstall the software. Follow the instructions below for you to be able to fix the problem.
1. Go to the Control Panel and uninstall Lenovo Veriface.
2. Restart computer.
3. Go to consumersupport.lenovo.com
4. Choose the model and Operating System of your laptop or you can just type the serial no of the laptop.
5. Look for Lenovo Veriface software on the list and install it.

How long does it take to take a photograph when using veriface for the first time iam trying to setup the veriface system but the scan seems to be taking long time

I am a certified Lenovo employee and with Veriface, it takes several minutes and the lighting of the surroundings is a big factor. Make sure as well that you don't have accessories worn on your face like earrings, eyeglasses, contact lenses and such if you're not planning to wear them everytime. Why? let's say for example you wear eyeglasses when you registered through Veriface and you tied to logon without it after a successful registration, your computer will not recognize you because it missed identifying something. With Veriface, it takes a lot of patience and self consciousness.

Setting up the Veriface application in your computer is so easy. All you have to do is to uninstall the program then reinstall it again. I recommend to follow the steps below for you to have the application to be up and running no time.

1. Download the Veriface here:

2. Go to the software section then look for Veriface.

3. Please make sure to download the application the matches your operating system.

4. Save the .exe file to your desktop.

5. Once you already downloaded the software try to uninstall the previous one then restart your computer.

6. After rebooting, go to your desktop and run the .exe file.

7. After installing the Veriface successfully , open the application then set it up by following the instructions. It will also ask you to capture your image. Ensure to adhere to the guidelines on taking your pictures.

8. Click on save then restart your computer.

1. To fix the hinge issue I recommend to contact lenovo technical support at 877-453-6686 option 2. They will set up a depot repair for you.

2. For the veriface concern, try to uninstall and reinstall the application.

My integrated camera on my lenovo notebook isn't working,it has veriface but no camera


Hi. I think the problem on that one is that the camera on your laptop is just disabled. To enable it you just need to press and hold the Function (Fn) button + Escape(Esc) on your keyboard to enable it then you can now use your veriface software. If not just try closing the veriface screen and try using your password instead. If not you need to uninstall your veriface software and download it from the lenovo driver support website and install it again on your machine and you need to enroll again your face for the security. By the way here is the website consumersupport.lenovo.com, you just need to enter the serial no of your machine and it will give you every software and drivers available for your machine. Hope this helps

disable the sound in control panel/hardware and sound/device manager right click the sound card and disable.. veriface should now work just fine.. this is a bug and hopefully lenovo will fix it soon.. this works for everyone, i have the s10e, version 4wg..

Problem with my webcam


uninstall all the camera softwares (veriface easycapture and all the messangers if any).then reinstall the veriface and easy capture the camera will work fine.
