I have the same problem, I'm changing the batteries, so I hope that works. The machine stitches good but with the computer part not working, I can't change stitches or sizes.

Probably a bad circuit board. It needs to visit a Pfaff dealer for diagnosis and repair.

Remove all the thread from your machine. Make sure to clean around the feed dogs and bobbin area. Loosen the top tension disk all the way to zero & raise the presser foot. Dampen a piece of pearl cotton with rubbing alcohol and pull the pearl cotton gently down between the tension disk a couple of times. Consult your owner's manual and oil as instructed in the manual using ONLY fresh good quality sewing machine, applying 1-2 drops each spot indicated. Install a brand new needle. Avoid old, fuzzy, or bargain bin thread. With the presser foot in the RAISED position, rethread the top thread--verify it is threaded correctly. Reset the upper tension to about halfway between the high & low number. Make sure the bobbin case is threaded properly and verify the bobbin is turning the correct direction in the bobbin case. Install bobbin case in the machine. Test stitch on a scrap piece of fabric.

If it continues to malfunction, you may need to take it for service.

Can i do a large applique with my pfaff 7570 using the large hoop

Both the 7560 and the 7570 will only stitch out to the largest hoop it came with which is a 120 x 115 CM hoop (approx 4 1/4 x 4 3/4 inches). If you are using the Creative Big Fantasy Hoop or a Hoop-it-All you will need to split out the design so that each piece will fit within the 120 x 115 hoop. Transfer both designs to the machine. If using the original hoop, hoop your fafabric and stitch out the 1st design. Unhoop and rehoop again aligning the fabric with the hash marks on the hoop. You will have to move the design around on the screen to make a perfect fit. Stitch out the 2nd design. If you are using the Creative Big Fantasy hoop, you just have to hoop the fabric once, stitch out the 1st design and loosen the side screw on the hoop and slide the hoop into place for the 2nd design. Stitch out the 2nd design. The same process applied to the Hoop-it-All.

Where can I locate the fuse<

Hello,

The Pfaff 7570 Creative Designer is a computerized sewingand embroidery machine that has the ability to connect to the computer, andhave embroidery designs sent to the embroidery machine. The sewing andembroidery machine has many features, including hundreds of general sewingfunctions, a separate embroidery module, and on-screen editing features. TheCreative Designer 7570, manufactured in the 1990s, was the first sewing andembroidery combination machine ever made by Pfaff.

1. Usingthe Sewing Machine
1 Turn on your sewing machine using the "On"button located just below the turn wheel on the right side of the machine.Thread your Pfaff 7570. Note that Pfaff sewing machines thread from left toright, not right to left like other sewing machines. The upper tension discsshould be raised at their highest position while threading, and the presserfoot should be raised up until you thread the needle. Drop the presser footright before you thread the needle. The prevents thread problems during use. 2 Insert a full bobbin and retrieve the bobbin threadthrough the thread plate. Raise your sewing foot and needle to its highestposition; hold the needle thread taught with your left hand, lower the needleinto the thread plate using your right hand, and then raise the needle. As youraise the needle, the needle thread will catch the bobbin thread, and pull itup. There should be a loop of thread intertwined with the needle thread. Usetweezers, your finger, or a straight pin to retrieve the bobbin thread that isvisible through the thread plate, and pull it through the plate. 3 Place the fabric under the presser foot, and drop thepresser foot. Choose the stitch you want to use from the top stitch display, right above the top thread feed. Press the '0-9" button located on thesewing machine's front panel, and a display screen will come up. Input thethread number, and press the 'OK' button located on the sewing machine's frontpanel. The stitch will display, and you are ready to sew. Repeat Step 3 foreach stitch you want to use.

2. SettingUp the Embroidery Unit
1 Turn the sewing machine off. Take out the embroiderymachine unit, locate the connection bushing on the back of your embroideryunit, and match it up with the connection bushing on your sewing machine. Theconnection bushing should be located next to a yellow sticker on yourembroidery unit, and somewhat resembles a serial port on a computer. Slide theembroidery unit onto the sewing machine with the sewing machine turned off. Connectto the bushing carefully as you slide the embroidery unit onto the sewingmachine. Use your embroidery unit manual if you need assistance. 2 Insert an embroidery card. Your embroidery unitshould contain an embroidery card labeled embroidery card 1. Use that or useanother Pfaff 7570 card that you own. Turn on the sewing machine. 3 Open the bobbin case area just below the threadplate, and lower the feed dogs by pushing the feed dog switch to the right.Press the card button located on the front face of your sewing machine. Adisplay with pop up; choose embroidery designs or monogram and a new screenwill pop up with your design choices. Choose the design you want, and press"OK." A checklist screen appears. Do everything on the checklist, andpress "OK." Use your embroidery unit manual if you need help. 4 Start embroidery by pressing the foot pedal. At thistime, your hoop should already be attached to the embroidery unit becauseyou've already gone through the checklist. Your embroidery manual displayscolored picture diagrams that are very helpful in understanding everything inyour checklist menu.

My 7570 has a blank screen when I turn it on it is lit up nnothing comes up.

There is a small wheel below the buttons on the right hand side that can be turned "up" or "down" to see the electronic letters properly. Sometimes that gets bumped accidentally and the screen appears to go blank - it's still there, just needs to have the letters darkened - they are just washed out. Turn the little wheel and it should return. If that doesn't work, quite possibly there is something else going on. If you can stitch even without seeing the screen - that most likely is the answer. Good luck! S

Hi Gloria,

Unfortunately, it sounds like you may have a computer board that's gone bad. Rare, but does happen and not something you will be able to repair yourself. There are a number of computer boards in the 7570.

I would suggest calling your local Pfaff dealer (if they are someone you trust) and having them check it out. If you're not pleased with your local dealer, you may find another dealer close enough to you to warrant the trip.

Best of luck getting your machine back up and running - we know how awful it is to be without!

Best,
Kim & Linnette

Pfaff 7570 Sewing Slow

Unfortunately, this is most likely a computer board issue and there's just no way to predict if/when a board will go bad.

Your only option at this point is to take it to an authorized Pfaff dealer. If the person who serviced it was an authorized Pfaff tech, take it back to them. If not, do take it to a Pfaff dealer - non-Pfaff authorized techs are not trained on the machines.

Sorry I can't give you a simpler answer, but until this is corrected, your machine won't work properly.

Best,
Kim
