My system crashes all the time. It locks up, reboots itself, goes blue screen and crash dump... most of the time it just locks and the only solution is to power down and back up again. Sometimes I get Windows screen that NVIDIA has caused my system to crash. It will display a button to a link to download the latest drivers,, and I have,, and it didn't help... Still get the same problems only now it tells me I am running the latest drivers when I try. My system locks ALL THE TIME,, especially when I am running Real Player. I have videos in Real player that I must watch for my college class and I can't hardly get through one video. It takes me several reboots to get through each video. It's driving me NUTS ! I searched about the NVIDIA thing and came up with stuff talking about the wide screen and problems with that.. I have an ACER 4400, 2gb ram,, ,stock system, dual core, 19" wide screen.. Please help me !! I'm beggin !

The solution here is to uninstall nvidia graphic driver and buy an external graphic card and install this if you are running on the on board one this has problems with resources and memory shareing.

Make sure you have got 128mb or above on board and directory x10 plus pixel shrader for video playback an do a virus scan as well plus a spyware sweep.

and if you are running xp this also can cause problems upgrade to vista premium for dual core boards as this dual core systemboards are more designed for vista then xp.

good luck on this one

Acer aspire crashes and to reboots when i try to record video game footage

There is a good chance of still getting a blue screen with a OS upgrade. You should try a clean install. Then try testing the RAM. Leave one DIMM at a time and swap to one slot at a time. This may help identify a bad one.

When I start my computer a blue screen pops up then it crashes. It has text on it but I don't get a chance to read it.

download Microsoft Debugging tool here
just select the version of your computer (OS and if it is 32bit or 64)

install it.

then check this link on how to use the windows debugging tool

-------------------

Every time that there is a blue screen error or a stop error, windows generates a dump file that has the details about the crash error. the dump file is located in this folder
C:\windows\minidump

you have to run the debugger, click on file, select ran deugger for crash error then after that browse to that folder and lod the minidump file.

in order for you to fully understand how to user the windows debugger, you have to read the link that i posted above.

the result of debugging will give you a detailed analysis on the problem, it could be driver issue, or the device or the OS itself

How to slved the bule screen problem

The best way to solve a blue screen problem is to look at the dump file and get the bucket id from the dump file.

This is the best article i have come accross to analise dump files is this http://www.networkworld.com/news/2005/041105-windows-crash.html?page=1

once the have the bucket id it should tell you what caused the crash

I get a blue screen that says my computer was shut down to protect from crashing, and it says it dumped my memory

I recently saw a very tricky virus that made it look like my computer was getting blue screen of death. It was acutaly a virus that had replaced my screen saver. They had even faked the screens that made it look like it was rebooting. I had also been locked out of the screen saver functions so I couldn't turn it off.

I booted in safe mode and removed the current screen saver.
I also ran a full virus scan.

Blue screens are normally caused by corrpted system files or faulty hardware.
But I'd do the screen saver test first.

Computer will not start

When Windows crashes with blue screen, it writes a system event 1001 or 1003 and a minidump to the folder \windows\minidump. Check system event 1001 and 1003 and it has the content of the blue screen

Event ID: 1001
Source: Save Dump
Description:
The computer has rebooted from a bugcheck.The bugcheck was : 0xc000000a (0xe1270188, 0x00000002, 0x00000000, 0x804032100).
Microsoft Windows..... A dump was saved in: .......

Event Source: System Error
Event Category: (102)
Event ID: 1003
Description:
Error code 1000007f, parameter1 0000000d, parameter2 00000000, parameter3 00000000, parameter4 00000000

Control Panel -> Adminstrative Tools -> Event Viewer -> System -> Event 1001/1003. Copy the content and paste it back here
