The grinder is jammed... how do I dismantle machine to unclog the grinder?

I can see inside my grinder, that it is largely free of grinds but it makes no attempt to turn. That fact, combined with a high pitch motor noise (like a motor, unencumbered by having to turn cogs) makes me think that some linkage has snapped, inside the grinder housing. The housing is a tough white plastic enclosure, with the motor secured towards the rear of the machine. Question - has anybody been inside the grinder housing and, can the unit be DIY'ed?

Unsure how dismantle the whole grinder but there are two screws holding in a round part in the beans container, undo these two make sure you dont drop a screw inside, then lift of the plastic round cover and see if you can see what has jammed it, if you see nothing keep fingers back turn on machine and then try with no beans see if it spins

Dismantle the grinder, you may have a stone in it, a very common cause of jammed grinders.

Grinder jam on breville barista express

Only way to know for sure is by taking it completely apart and expose all the internal parts
Popping is not a good sign If it is electrical arcing you are playing with fire
or electrocution
If you are mechanically inclined they are not that hard to take apart as long as they have no security screws on it and you have to remember you might be voiding your warranty
But it is fun taking things apart No?

While grinding heard noise as if a foreign object was in the grinder. The grinder started smoking. Unplugged grinder. Any suggestions on repair?

You will have to dismantle the grinder, removing the 2 bolts at front, then working your way back to the grind chamber, You can find the diagrams for the machine on bunn.com

I have a Gaggia syncrony compact coffee machine and the coffee grinder has jammed for the second time. The repair agent employed by Gaggia inform me that they have been waiting for spare parts from Gaggia...

If the grinder jammed it might have been because the grind was too fine, try adjusting coarser then using the + or - lever to add more coffee for proper extraction. To clear jam remove brew unit and locate door to grinder chamber on left, vac out grounds, also beans in hopper. When clean run grinder and set to coarser, then add small amount of beans and test.

Red lignt is flashing - advice on how to unclog coffee grinder?

Hi If you have not pushed the coffee button since this happened you can turn the big knob in the bean hopper to the largest # and then turn the small knob to the minus, and try again. If it clears do a second coffee. If it doesn't your going to have to clean the grinder.

Are you getting any coffee at all? Sounds like your doser door/channel and grinder may be blocked by damp coffee. To remedy this situation, the grinder (and doser door/channel) would have to be cleaned. This is best done by an authorized SAECO Service Center. My Saeco won't grind the beans

There's moisture in the grinder & it's clogged - just dismantle the grinder & clean it, then ensure you don't splash water into the bean hopper when you fill the water tank.

Turn the knob back the other way, while the grinder is not running! This should free the burrs, if necessary then, dismantle, clean and replace.
If, when the upper burr is unlocked from the lower, the motor will still not run, you have done worse damage.
