Hi,

I had the same problem. I called Honeywell and they told me that it was designed so it could not be removed and I would have to send it in for repairs. When I told them it only needed cleaning, the woman told me they won't do that and I should by a new one. Right. So, I took it to Home Hardware and they were very helpful. Apparently, the screws at the back require a special screwdriver that is not sold to the public. But, they did it for me and replaced them with common screws. Now I can open it and clean to my hearts content.

Gas problem fixed on my bike. Now the problem is keeping it running. It starts after a few tries but it stalls right out and than it's hard to start back up. I have an 1985 Yamaha 700 Maxium

I wonder what the fuel problem was. It kind of sounds like the idle jet, and/or low speed jet needs to be cleaned. Also while your in there, i would clean all the jets, and check the float bowl height.

Great bike I use to have a 81 XJ650J, hell of a bike, i miss it.

Yamaha CDC-765: sometimes skips when playing CDs

The problem is in the laser for sure. Try cleaning with a cd cleaning tool. It's the easiest solution because changing the laser is not always available solution.

well unless you know how to its best to leave them be if you strip the carbs you will need a tool to set them back up again plus if you take out any jets or screws that adjust the fule mix you will never get it running right again without the right tools to set it back up and a jet can be wrecked by bad cleaning
its your bike? but if you have the cash drop it into a shop for a good tune up

Press-Grip Clasp

Hi,
I just pressed the green clamps with pliers (which was a bit tricky to get the pliers just right and wedged inside the washer), but it works. Then before putting the black ribber piece back in, slide the green clamps back on, a bit further back on the rubber than they need to be. Then push the connections of the black rubber piece back on and finally use the pliers to move the clamps back up into place. Hope this helps!

This isn't really a solution, but should be relevant.  If you think that cleaning might be the issue, don't be too afraid to really dig in there.  The part you see is just a cover, not the speaker diaphragm itself.  I've had the tip part fall off (well, sort of break off) and that whole assembly doesn't do anything but cover the speaker.  The real deal is pretty deep in.

High Heat but does not dry

Check the exhaust tube that goes out the back of the dryer. It may be clogged with lint. Ours did this about a month ago and and a thurough cleaning did wonders. I bought a kit from Lowe's with all kinds of attachments. It was really easy.
