Hi - I bought sony speakers and need to know how to install them. I have a Lexmarkx2690 - color 3 in 1.

Unpack the speakers from the box and set them up how you would like them to go. There should be a power cable that needs to be plugged into the wall. Plug that in. Then there should be a green audio cable that comes from one of the speakers. On the back of your computer, there will be three or more audio ports. A blue Line in, a Green audio out, and a Red microphone. Plug the green speaker wire into the green Audio Out jack.

What do you need to know about the printer?

Dell speaker connection color code needed

  • *Turn off your Dell laptop.

*Connect speakers to the speaker control box. The speaker control box varies depending on the speaker system you have. Two-speaker systems will have a female jack on the back of one speaker that you plug the other into the second speaker. If your system has a sub-woofer, all of the other speakers will plug into it. The connecting cords are color-coded to the jacks on the back of the control box.

*Plug an audio cable into the "Audio-In" port on the back of the control box. If the audio cable is color-coded, it will be green.

*Plug the other end of the audio cable into the headphone jack on your laptop.

*Plug the speakers' power cord into a surge protector to protect your system from power surges. *Plug the surge protector into a wall outlet.

*Turn on your speakers and set the volume at a medium level. Be prepared to turn the volume up or down after you turn your laptop on.

*Turn on your laptop and confirm that sound is coming from your speakers.

    Thanks for rating

    Good luck

    I have a 32" LG

    Hello Undernet01,

Yes, it's very simple. Connect the computer speakers to the headphone socket on the TV, then run a separate audio cable from the PC to the TV. A PC monitor cable wont carry an audio signal so you need to connect an RCA type cable or similar - depending on whether you have corresponding audio OUT sockets on the PC and audio IN sockets on the TV.

You will then have sound from both the PS3, the PC, and the TV on the computer speakers. The TV speakers will automatically switch off when something is plugged into the headphone socket.

    Simples as pies.

My speakers are plugged in, the error messae sounds are coming through the speakers but the sounds and audio devices say there is nothing plugged in and any media players say the same. I can't find any...

look in the control panel for sounds and audio devices, if the error sounds are coming through, then the speakers are working, leave them plugged into that port, check your speaker configuration setting try setting it to stereo speakers. It also sounds like you may have it set to 5.1 and are only hearing the rear audio channel. problem being your two speakers connected to a 5 - 6 speaker configuration. Again, solved by setting the speaker configuration to 2 speakers (stereo) . Let me know the outcome. Thanks

Speakers are plugged in but there isn't any sound coming out of the speakers, yet i know the speakers work i tried them on my laptop

    Things to check:
    1. Ensure you are plugging into the correct port. Some systems have both integrated audio and and expansion sound card. If it has both, the expansion card should be the port to connect the speakers. Generally all desktops use Green as the speaker jack color.
    2. Ensure the volume control is not muted. Set volume for 75%
    3. Ensure if the audio is integrated, that the audio is enabled in the BIOS
    4. in Control Panel, Sounds and Audio devices, make sure the sound card is the default playback device. Also ensure that Stereo desktop speakers are selected as the speaker tyoe.

Speakers keep cutting out when they are plugged in and a high pitch squeal comes out of computer speaker

How many Audio ports do you have in the back of your computer? Also, what Audio DRIVERS do you have installed in your computer? If you have REALTEK audio drivers, it SHOULD automatically recognize the speakers are being plugged in and change that ports usage over to speaker output, but not all drivers do this. It could simply be that you're plugging them into the wrong port audio port if you have 4 - 6 back there, as some motherboards do. Try different audio plugs and see if that works for you.

I cant get the rear speakers to play on my pioneer deh-p3000ib.

    Sounds like you have
    1) the rear speaker cable is plugged into the wrong colored hole
    2) the audio software thinks you have a subwoofer, but you don't? Check on the audio software for ways to configure the speakers, the latest chips auto-detect when you plug in a cable, and ask you what that was you plugged in.
