Kenmore gas grill 141.153373

How do I go about replacing my gas burner manifold. It looks like I have to take apart the whole top half of the grill to get at the two screws or bolts which they are all fastened to on each end panel.

SOURCE: Screws fastening "tent" are corroded

Just had the same problem... I sprayed some WD-40 on both sides to loosen it, then used a damaged screw remover to pull it out. On one side, the head snapped off and I had to use the smallest-size extractor to directly pull out the shank, but it worked.

BTW, you don't happen to have the instruction manual, do you??

SOURCE: Replace main burner bracket - Kenmore 141.17227 nat gas grill

I've been screeming at my employeer about this design for years!!! I know what you are trying to do- I have to work on them, even in 90 degree weather!!!! Find the screws that hold that side panel on,remove screws, have someone else there to help you hold it in place- best to get the HARDWARE pack also, its new screws as the old ones will be rusted in, I've even had to grind some of the old screws to get them removed.. Good luck , at least you know someone else is having same problem...

One of the tubes will not light up? It fell over in the wind. I cleaned up the grill and now that tube will not light. The ignightor is sparking but not flow of gas? what to do?

Remove the offending burner, check it for crimps or debris inside that was dislodged when it fell over. Also check the venturi valve on the open end of the burner for damage or blockage. While the burner is out, look at the burner orifice to make sue it's still in place and not clogged. If all of the aforementioned checks out Ok, the burner manifold valve may have gotten damaged beyond repair and will need to be replaced.

Hope this helps you to troubleshoot and solve the problem.

Grill does noty get hot

try opening the tank very slowly. if you open it too quickly the overfill protection devise in the tank will restrict the gas flow to the burners. hope this helps.

Hello Dee,
Sorry you didn't get exactly what you thought you were getting but you should be able to find the model of the oven section ( top part of grill) and locate a tag of some sort that youcan bring with you to Sears ( they market Kenmore) Service deskand they should be able to track down all the parts you need to complete it ( You'll be looking for the base cabinet that matches the oven ).. They should also be able to provide you with assembly directions too.. Good Luck...

Looks like your regulator is not venting properly to relieve the back pressure. The best thing you can do here is replace the regulator.

Burner Adjustment.

You may be running lean. Add air until you have as much blue flame as you can get. Often, however, this is impossible on worn burners.
