SOURCE: My son's guitar amp Epiphone guitar amplifier

Hi and welcome to FixYa,

Almost always, a Bass guitar would require a hefty amp quite different in terms of construction design to most guitar amps.

Offhand, the problem would be internal on the electronics board. Most likely culprit if it will power on but no sound would be the final/output transistors.

If there is no power indicator at all, then it would most likely be the power supply section.

Any competent electronics tech should be able to perform the repairs since the parts (to my knowledge) are readily available from most electronics parts stores including Radio Shack and **** Smith.

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa.

SOURCE: how to get a fat and clear sound from schecter

Ninety percent of what you want depends on the amp and speaker you are using.

You likely will want a 15 inch speaker in a bass cabinet to start with and a decent midrange driver as well.

No amount of EQ will fix an audio system that just can't put out the bass tones.

SOURCE: I have Ibanez gsr200 bass guitar , yesterday and

No question what to do... take it in under warranty since it is new !!!

You may find that there is a problem with your amp... the seller should be able to test the guitar and demonstrate normal sound for you.

Many users have TOO small of an amp and the distortions make it appear that the guitar is bad... I suspect you will want at least a 12 inch speaker and preferably a 15 inch for your bass.

When low frequency signals drive a speaker too hard it drives the voicecoil out of the linear range and the sound will be irregular..

Hi, I have the Technics SA-AX530 amplifier and I was wondering if there is a way I can turn my subwoofer up through the amp? Can't find anything on the remote, please let me know if there is anyway I can...

Hello, I searched all thru the service manual of the Technics SA-AX530 Receiver, and I have to say that there is not any way to turn the volume of the subwoofer up (or down) alone. The only control of the sound that affects the subw. level is the BASS control, but it controls also the bass at the speakers too.
Good luck.

If you know the type of guitar. Acoustic, Bass, Electric and perhaps the model number, you may be able to learn more from the Yanaha website:

My guitar was playing fine yesterday but when i plugged it in after my friend's bass guitar was using the same amp, my guitar got this feedback from the amp. I cant stop it and it's very problematic.

First of all I suggest that you try your guitar through another amp you know works without the feedback. There is a very slim chance there is something wrong with your guitar but I would say no. You didn't mention what kind of amp you have: solid state, tube or hybrid. It would help if you tell us what brand and model number your amp is. Try setting your amps controls the way you usually have them and using a long cord that works properly, isolate your guitar by putting it in a room with the door closed by running the cord under the door. Is the feedback still there? Try playing with your back to the amplifier. Is the feedback still there? You need to identify the problem. Is it your guitar or is it the amp? Here is a link to tube amp troubleshooting:http://www.geofex.com/ampdbug/ampdebug.htm Here is a link to guitar feedback causes:http://www.guitarsite.com/discussion/messages/23765.shtml If you decide it is your guitar you can have a look for broken solder joints etc. There are wiring diagrams on the internet. If it is your amplifier, you should take it in to be serviced. Take it to a dealer that carries and services that brand. Unless you have all the tools, a schematic and electronic troubleshooting experience you are in danger of injuring or killing yourself or making the problem worse. Hope this helps.

Bass Guitar Keeps sound keeps cutting in and out.

There is an inconsistency in your text. You indicate that cables were swapped and problem still existed...
You said:... "i have tried using it on a different amp and still fine".

If you tried it on a different amp and it was still fine then the guitar is probably OK.

THEN your amplifier is in question as the root of your problem.

What is the amp you have? The guitar is the CB-42, but what amp do you have?

MANY intermittent problems with amplifiers are often with the input jack itself. These jacks are easily broken by tripping over a cable plugged into them.
