Question about Microsoft Windows Vista Ultimate Edition
A few questions......
Did you purchase windows vista in a store or did it come pre-installed on you pc......or is it a non-legitimate copy of vista?
Is your pc a brand name (dell, acer etc...) or is it a custom built machine?
Did this just happen recently? was everything okay, and this just happened suddenly?
Do you have the option to 'get genuine' when the pc starts up?
This information will help me determine what the problem is....please reply and I will help any way I can.

Is sounds like you are using non-genuine copy of Windows 7. There is no way to access your desktop without having a genuine licence key. This is need to activate your copy of windows.
Since you are using non-genuine version of Windows you have 2 options :
1. Buy a genuine copy of Windows 7 to get a hold of a licence key. Use this key activate your windows.
2. Format your PC and resinstall Windows 7 from scratch. This will give you additional 30 days to activate. If you need installation help then follow this guide: How to install Windows 7
