try accessing your bios on your laptop and change the date on it. To access the bios just press F2 or F10 once you press the power button. Once you are inside of the bios locate the settings for date and time, then that's the time you can change and save it before you exit.

try holding f2 or f10 at boot, right when you turn it on, and hold it in until you get into bios or a boot selection screen. then you need to set the cd drive as the primary, only boot device for the time being

para resetar bios default settings..( eliminar contrasena) ..sacar para un segundo la bateria de bios ...
para upgrade bios ..revisar el site de fabricante ..para desgarcar

It should solve the problem, enter BIOS and change password by filling in only banks(spacebar)........sodeep

I sent it back to toshiba to fix a bios password issue. I got it back and now it asks for a hdd1 password. Any ideas.


It sounds like you have change the password jumper setting on the motherboard. I searched toshiba and found information on how to fix your problem. Let me know if this helped or if you need more help. Please rate me mysleuth

Screen as lines coming down screen of my toshiba satellite laptop


Boot the computer in BIOS and if you sill have lines than the LCD is leaking.

To boot to BIOS tap "F2" OR "F10", multiple times as soon as you hit the power button to turn on the computer/

I have a Toshiba Satellite Pro L10 laptop which now fails to detect the hard disk during a start up. It shows a PXE fault and won't proceed any further. The laptop is running XP.


Your computer is trying to boot from LAN. Somehow the boot order got changed in the BIOS. Access the BIOS and set the first boot device to the hard drive.

After installing new hard drive on a Toshiba Satellite 1900 and trying to reload Recovery cd-rom error reads cannot find partitioning?


Enter the bios and set the cd as the first boot device. Whatch the screen on start up for the key to press to enter set up or similarly worded item.

Need to reset the bios password


my sat came with a password installed on it and i had to remove the cmos batt to reset the bios.it was located on the right side of the comp under the keyboad, covered by a black piece of tape.
