Don't have a problem with my camera. My laptop doesn't have a CD drive, so can't install software that came with the camera. What do I do?

If you are using a Windows OS on your laptop, you don't need the software that came with the camera. Just connect your camera to the laptop, the drivers should automatically install, and the laptop should give you the option to download the pictures using Windows Photo Gallery.
If you really want the software from the camera's manufacturer for some reason, you can use your laptop to go to their website and download and install the software. I figure why add another program to my computer that does the same thing as another program that's part of the operating system.

Hi ive got a camera that came with a disc but unfortunatly my netbook dont have a disc section so cant get the camera set up x can u help me download the correct software so this can be set up..

Well, I can suggest you two things.
If you don't have an internal CD/DVD drive, you can purchase an external DVD drive with USB cable. This will be useful if you want to watch DVD movies, listen to audio CDs or when installing drivers or software that comes in a CD or DVD.
Or you can go to a friend who has a computer and ask him to insert the CD and email the software to you. Otherwise you can copy the content of the CD to a pen drive. You can use pen drive or email to install the camera driver to your computer.

I have a Nikon L22 coolpix camera, i have the cd that came with it but i have a netbook and can't use the cd to Download software. where can i get the software for free so i can put it on my acer...

Hi!

Nikon doesn't offer the software for free download.
But there are many ways to get your software installed from disk. I also have a netbook without optical drive:
1.The simplest way is to ask a friend to copy all CD content on a memory stick, then you can install the software from this stick.

2. You can also use a USB external CD/DVD, and connect it to your netbook.

3. Other way is more complicated but also works: if you have another computer with CD/DVD, you can share this drive via network and map it on your netbook. Then you can use the CD/DVD drive as connected directly to your netbook.

Hope it helped.

Download photos to computer

If you used a SD card in your camera then just pull that card out (when camera is off) and plug it in your laptop or use USB SD card reader and then you can copy all the images in the SD card in your computer hard drive.

If you used camera internal memory then you need to install a software called Kodak EasyShare provided with the camera in a CD. If you don't have the CD, you can download this software from kodak website. Now install this software and then connect the camera with your computer using the USB cable provided with the camera. Make sure you have batteries in the camera. When you have plugged the camera, turn on the camera and kodak easyshare software will detect the camera and let you browse the photos in the camera memory.

Hi,
Transfer the needed driver softwares to a pen drive from CD/DVD by using any of your friend's system where CD/DVD drive is present. Then connect your pen drive to your laptop and install the drivers. simple !

I guess, this is helpful to you
