This means that you do not have a wireless connection successfully made...the light will turn blue when you connect a device on it ..If it works OK ..it means it is normal ..as long you do not have a connected wireless device on it ..the light is supposed to do so ..but if it does like that during a wireless connection it means either the wireless is not turned on into the settings or it is not working ..
In this case..you should get into the settings via the browser..using the Ip address...
ex:http://192.168.1.1
or whatever the address it is ..(IP of the router )
in there choose the wireless and re build the settings ..and enable it ..
But ..from what I know it is supposed to do so ...I mean yellow light ...as long as you do not have a successful made connection on the wireless ..
The light turned blue means a working section ...for example if you have a usb attached the usb led will be blue...and so on ..In case a section is turned off..it may act like this ...and this is something you have to check ..
If you never changed the password and admin user name ..they will be like the factory ones...meaning admin for both

Hello.

Usually that indicates there is a problem with wireless computer connecting properly to the Router. Disconnect the power from the router and then reconnect again. Restart your computer.

If still a problem, test with another wireless computer to see if there is any difference.

Hope this helps.

I just pressed the button under my flashing orange lock light (for about 10 seconds) and the lock light turned blue and quit flashing.

I have a belkin wireless modem router model F7D1401 v1 and a week ago it would be normal then flash orange and stop working. however now it is a constant orange with the WPS button flashing orange.

I think you have the upper light blinking and lower light solid. Is that right? The upper light blinking means that the connection to your ISP is not working. Try unplugging/replugging the Ethernet cable in the top port (probably yellow and labeled "WAN" or "DSL" or something). Check the other end of that cable. If you have another Ethernet cable, try swapping it out.

If none of that works, call your ISP to check the connection.

My router has stopped working this morning. The modem router light flashes blue a couple of times then the security light and modem router light up blue for a couple of seconds the all turn off. None of...

TRY RESETTING THE ROUTER. THERE WILL BE A SMALL HOLE IN THE ROUTER WHERE THE RESET BUTTON IS. INSERT TOOTHPICK OR SOMETHING NON-METALLIC AND DEPRESS FOR 30 SECONDS. THAT SHOULD RESET IT.
GOOD LUCK

The only light on my router is the router light. No other lights are coming on. I have tried rebooting.

When facing the router, Globe/Internet LED is on the right. Below are the LED indicators; Check the steps below:

Wireless Security - This light will only turn on if the wireless security is enabled.

Wireless-Computer Status - This light will turn on if a wireless computer is connected to the router.

Wired-computer Status - This light will turn on if a wired computer is connected to the router. Connect the wired computer to any gray port on the router. (There are 4 gray ports).

Router Status - Power light. Solid blue means the router is on and ready.

Modem Status - If this is off, it means the router is not connected to the modem. Make sure the cable is connected from the modem to the yellow port on the router.

Internet Status - This light will indicate if the router is connected to the internet.

If this is the first time you are installing the router, then what is important is to get the router, wired-computer and modem lights ON. Once they are on, you may insert the CD that came with the Belkin router to setup the internet connection and wireless settings.

Modem router light blinking (no wireless connection) F5D8631-4

Try restoring the Belkin back to the factory default by powering up the Belkin and pressing the RESET button on the back of the Belkin for 7 secs. Then connect a LAN cable from the computer to the Belkin, open IE browser and type the configuration IP address and configure the wireless settings ie. SSID, encryption etc. The computer wireless cards will need to be configured with the Belkin wireless settings to allow them to communicate with the Belkin.

All light are on (solid blue) except the wireless

The wireless indicator (LED) only lights up blue when a it has a connection to a wireless device.

Once a device (laptop, printer, etc) is configured with the settings that match your router, the blue light will turn on unless there is a physical proble with the router itself.

Is this router new and you're trying to get it setup or was it functioning before and now there is a problem?

Router Security Light is Blinking

Hello,
I have the same symptoms. In my opinion, this is done because you turned your Belkin from a router to access point position. I did it also (issues with adsl modem/router). By manual the flashing diod means no secure device. But, without pass you can't access your Belkin. So, probably, some fault in firmaware.

Nice day.

Connection dropping

If the lights are flashing - that's OK. Wireless light will flash because the connections and beacon transmission, port lights will flash because of local connections. We can troubleshoot this for a while but I think this might be a problem with the box. Probably the best option is to replace it. In case you would like to play, try to run Ethereal and capture the packets and analyse them.
