Go to Wal-Mart and purchase a universal remote. Find your code for the model you have and follow the instructions that came with the remote. 99% chance that will fix the problem and you'll have your remote again.

Have new 55ux600u toshiba. Hooked up a one year old wii and get no color

The 55ux600u toshiba hdtv has a setting that needs to be changed with the wii in order to get color.
1. Click 'Menu' on the TV remote 2. Arrow over to 'Preferences' 3. Arrow down to 'AV Connection' 4. Click 'OK' 5. Arrow down to 'AV Input' 6. Change setting from 'ColorStream HD' to 'Video' by clicking the right arrow. 7. Hit the'Exit' button on the TV remote.
This will give you color for your Wii. You will have to change this setting back in order to view DVDs in color. :-)

I cant find the av button on my tosiba tv. i have got a wee and it wont work any ideas please e/mail me at wchelseablue@blueyonder.co.uk thanks, johnny

there should be an input button somewhere on the remote. if you dont have the remote, some tv models will toggle through the av inputs at the bottom on the channel numbers. try channel down till to ge to zero then hopefully you will see av. if not you will need to go to the remote. if you dont have remote, you will need to go buy a universal remote.

Hi i have a very old panasonic tv and when i install the wii there isnt a tv/input button on the remote

Try going down through all the channels. The older tv's usually kept the AV channel before channel 2.

Wii help

Hello :

1:Insert the AV Multi Out plug on the Wii AV Cable into the AV Multi Out connector on the back of the console.
2:

Insert the RCA plugs on the Wii AV Cable into the input connectors on the TV. Plug the colored connectors into the following inputs:

Yellow = Video Input
White = Audio Input Left (or Mono)
Red = Audio Input Right

3:Once the cables are inserted and the Wii is powered on, you must find the Input Select for your TV to view the game (it is likely not going to be seen on Channel 3 or 4). Typically this is found by pressing the TV/Video button on the Television's front panel or remote control. If you have more than one input channel, keep pressing TV/Video until you see the display from the Wii.
If you do not have a TV/Video button, then the input could be labeled something different. Some other common input selects to look for on the TV or remote are: Input, Input Select, EXT, AUX, or a channel such as 00 or 99.

I hope this will help .

Do i need a remote to aquire the av input on the tv

I believe on the Toshiba 14AF44 that you can change inputs by using the channel button on the front of the TV, as well. Either channel down to the lowest channel and then channel down again to start going through the available inputs, or channel up to the highest channel and then channel up again to start going through the available inputs.
Hope this helps!

What channel should I turn my tv to? i have dish

If you have Dish, your remote should have a selection for TV/VIDEO located just under the SAT and TV buttons on the upper left of the remote. Push the TV button, push the TV/VIDEO button, and you should be able to reset the TV to Satellite.

After you've reset the TV, remember to push the SAT button on the upper left to allow your remote to access the satellite.

Nintendo wii wont work with older model of Sanyo TV

how are you connecting the wii to the tv...through the rca jacks?  If so, you can not get to the input channels by the channel button.  On the remote there will be a button called either AV, Input, AV Video, Video, A/V, Input or something similar.  Hit this button until your tv goes to the appropriate av channel.

Universal remote works for basics but won't change input

Rich,

good day , what button can you see infront of your TV screen?

Not familiar with this model but if you'll manage to locate a button marked as "TV/AV" or "AV" press this button until it the display switch to A/V mode (audio/video). Or if this is a really old model, from Tuner mode or channel model. set the channel station to 1 then press the " - channel " button and see if it will change from tuner mode to A/V mode

cheers,
mark

Second toshiba tv and they both do the same thing

Hi, It is possible that your Toshiba is set to receive aerial TV programs and not Cable TV programs. You need to go to the set-up menu (via remote) and go to the air/cable selection. Choose cable and then auto search/scan. This is a generic procedure and should work with your particular brand/model but the terms/names may just be a bit different. You may also consult the users manual for the exact procedure. Hope this give you an idea. Good luck and kind regards.
