SOURCE: I have a ASUSTek Computer Inc. P4P800-MX

The message "there are no active mixers" means the AC'97 is not set correctly in the bios.
Enter the bios menu. Press the Delete key every 2 seconds untill the bios menu loads. Instruction on how to move around in the bios are listed at the bottom the screen.
If you still have you're manual turn to page 2-18. Make sure the onboard AC'97 is set to, [AUTO]. Save and exit the bios, the system will auto restart. If you still have you're Asus CD load it into you're CD-ROM drive.
If you do not have you're manual you can down load it from Asus;
You will also need Adobe reader to view the manual.
Download and install Adobe;
If you are running windows XP as you're operating system open device manager. Open windows control panel. Than open the System icon. Left click the Hardware tab. Now left click on the Device Manager button. You may see a yellow pair shaped icon with a black ! point in it. Right click on this once. A pop-up list will open. Left click once on, Update driver.
Windows hardware update wizard will open.
Left click once in the circle next to: No, not at this time. Than click next. If you have you're Asus CD left click in the circle next to, Install from a list or specific location [Advanced]. Than click next. Find the audio folder on the Asus CD and install the audio driver software. If you want to download the audio driver software use the Asus link listed above.

Hope you find this helpful!

Do s-150 usb digital speakers work for mac?

Hi, I had this problem too but thankfully I figured it out after a investigating a few settings. I was very frustrated because the light came on and the buttons would manipulate my MacBook Pro and MacBook sound, but nothing came out of the speakers. Solution:1.) Click on System Preferences, 2.) Choose "Sound", 3.) Select the "Output" button in the middle of the top bar, 4.) in the selectable menu, choose USB (of course your speakers must be plugged in for this to show). Tada! You can even balance the Left and Right speakers in this menu. Hope that works for you too!

I just ordered a new Logitech Extreme 3D Pro Joystick for my son for Christmas. He has a MacBook. The box on the joystick says PC on it. Does this mean it wont work with a MAC? If it does, how will he...

The logitech site states that the joystick works with Mac OS 9 or later.

As the system requirements do not state any hard drive space is required for a Mac it will probably install drivers required automatically.

If the product does not work contact Logitech through the support option

Just bought expressionist Ultra, when I plug it into my MacBook Pro no sound comes out.

Click on the Apple icon and look at the sound options in the system preferences. If the Mac does not detect your speakers, you may need to install drivers for them. Try doing that at the Altec Lansing site. Also try the tech support at Altec Lansing and at Apple.

This sounds like a problem with your accessories than a problem with your Mac. Did you try using a different pair of speakers or headphones? The jack could also be loose.

Problem with speakers, Mac laptop MacBook 13" white

Have you made sure that the sound options in system preferences are all set, and not muted? Open system preferences, choose sound, go to the output tab. Make sure it's not muted or something silly.

If that's not it, and you're mechanically inclined, you can try opening the mac case and see if the speakers are disconnected. Although, I doubt they are unplugged.
