Question about Acomdata (HD250UE5-72) (HD250UE572) 250 GB Hard Drive
If you've checked your system for viruses and spyware which can shut down certain drivers and drives, and have found nothing, then chances are your drive has stopped working. Many times the system will find the drive, but the internal mechanism of the drive goes bad and prevents it from working. A lot of factors can cause this:
1. Old - 3 years is a good while
2. Old - depending on how much you use it. The more you use it, the more likely it is to go bad.
3. Has anyone bumped it or dropped it? They're very sensitive to this type of treatment.
5. Try reinstalling the drivers if any came with it.
