The two spaded round device is probably a relay.
I would say there was a control fault and without a service manual and test gear you may have trouble identifying the faulty components.
Time to call the repair man.

Where is the fuse located in a GE spacemaker xl microwave oven

Unplug microwave, remove top, follow wiring from the keypad area to the circuit board, look for a silver rectangular high voltage capacitor, discharge across the two points, and near by look for a small fuse clipped in, pop it out and replace with same current rating. If fuse blows! one or two door switches are probably bad and will need to be replaced.

Hi, I have a Panasonic microwave oven, model NN-S215MF/WF. The problem is that it has suddenly stopped heating... the light goes on, the plate goes round but no warming/ heating. I just want to know...

If you have 15 minutes and a screwdriver (don't know which type is used on your unit), I would unplug from the AC, remove the housing so you can see the floor of the frame and the control devices, look for a fuse to replace, keeping your hands and fingers clear of any bare terminals. This unit may have two fuses; one for the high voltage circuit for the magnetron, another for the other parts such as the control circuitry. The first fuse will be 15-20 amperes, the second much lower. If the fuses are visible and close to each other, make sure you know which fuse belongs where; they will have much different ratings for current.

Since the light and turntable are working, the lower value fuse is obviously OK, so if you find two fuses, remove and replace the higher value fuse.
If you do this, turn it on and the fuse blows again, then it is time to replace the unit with a new one since the other parts that can fail require a little technical background and a multimeter. The cost of having it done by a pro will likely amount to more than the unit is still worth.

Convection microwave oven suddenly stopped

If there is no power to the unit at all, no lights, no nothing, but there is power at the outlet, then you are most likely going to need a new board. the Electronic control board controls everythign on that unit. I woudl call GE direct for service, adn depending how old it is they may be willing to give a parts and or parts & labor concession - they are usually pretty good about that kinda stuff.

My ge microwave spacemaker 1800 won't heat my food pls help

HI. in most cases, this will lead to a failed Heating device(magnetron tube). It would be wise to check the Magnetron cutoff fuse to be sure of its integrity. if the fuse is blown, simply replace it. if the fuse continues to show continuity, replace the magnetron.

(((The fuse is located inside the unit along side the magnetron, near the blower housing.)))

Emerson model 8117w stop working all at once

This microwave has three door interlock switches and a fuse that are easily replaced by the consumer. Unplug the microwave. Remove the cover by unscrewing the 5 screws on the cover. Four are on the back, one on the lower right. One or more of the screws may be torx T15S (security)(bit available at hardware stores). As in all microwaves the capacitor should be discharged by shorting the cap terminals together. Note that the three switches are in a single black plastic carrier. Remove the two screws securing the carrier and the switches can be released by hand. Replace one at a time so as not to confuse the wiring which is push on spade terminals. Replace the fuse with a 20 amp 125v slow blow (radio shack). Do not plug in power until all the switches are reinstalled as a safety feature will cause the fuse to blow again. If fuse blows repeatedly it is most likely that all three interlock switches are not closing properly. Check to make sure that all switches are seated correctly in the black plastic switch carrier and that the 2 carrier screws are tight. Observe the switches as the door is closed. Replace switches and/or carrier as needed. While the cover is off you may want to clean off the fan and/or replace the bulb. Also check for proper seating of the control board connections.

Do you mean the internal cooling fan and cooking cavity light?

I'm guessing these are not the ones you mean, but if so, please reply back and I'll address that.

I'd bet you mean the exhaust vent fan and cooktop work lights?

If you mean the latter, the problem is on the control panel, which we regularly repair nationwide for $39.95 postpaid.

This light failure often occurs when a bulb goes out and the filament shorts, or when the bulbs are removed or installed without first unplugging the oven from the power line. Either can cause such a failure on the controller.

This can often also affect the exhaust fan operation, too. The lights and fan can be inoperable or stuck on too.

Yes, there should be a ceramic (tubular) fuse under the cover on the top side where the power comes into the microwave.
