That has happened to mine before and it toook me forever!! to figure out what to do.

1.) disconnect it from the computer from itunes and safely remove hardware at the bottom right of your computer
2.) toggle the hold switch back and forth so that it is o hold then not again
3.) put the ipod on a flat surface and hold the menu and centre button
4.) the apple symbol should appear and it should restart but still have all your songs and new songs still there

try this a couple times and if it doesn't work then i don't know

With the phone UN-PLUGED and powered OFF. Hold the home button and plug into a computer using I-tunes. Continue to hold till the restore screen starts on the computer. You will restore the device to factory and loose everything but it will be useable.

Frozen ipod

You just need to reset it, hold down the middle button and the "Menu" button for about 7-10 seconds, or until you see the Apple logo.
Hope this helps.

My ipod screen turned white please help

Try doing a full restore by putting the ipod into recovery mode. Make sure to set it up as a new iPod and not use a backup.

Ipod touch wont turn on unless pluged into computer

Itmaybe a battery problem...if you think its not a battery problem, you may want to try a software upgrade/restore...if your software version is already the latest one, backup all the ipod contents before you restore...you will find the restore option in the summary tab in itunes.

My ipod touch turns on and shows the apple sign and cuts right back off i pluged it up and it did the same thing and i went to i tunes and pluged it up and same thing happend

Hold the power button and home button for 10 seconds to ensure the device is off. Let go.

Hold the home button down, plug in the ipod to the computer, after the screen changes to the itunes plug screen, let go of the home button.

The ipod will now be in recovery mode, and you can attempt to perform a restore within itunes.

If the restore fails, and the ipod screen stays black, this means the battery is dead and must be replaced. If you replaced your battery and this still happens, then your logic board has gone bad.

My Ipod is frozen

OK what you need to do is reset it. To do this you will need to hold down the menu and select buttons simultaneously for approx 6 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen. This should reset and un freeze your ipod.

Try this and let me know how you get on.

hi.. if you have itunes, run the program, connect the ipod to it and then see what it does.. i would suggest just using the restore option in itunes so it can reset your ipod.. u can only do this on itunes but i've also found that realplayer will work with itunes as well so hopefully one of those two programs will work for you.. itunes is a little glitchy with windows vista so keep that in mind if you are running a vista os.. you can also go to your start button, click and open the MY COMPUTER option and then see if you can see see your ipod plugged in--that is another way if you don't see a prompt pop up after you plug it in...

let me know if this helps, if not, i can still do more troubleshooting.. be sure you have enough memory if you haven't installed itunes yet.. good luck.. d
