If it doesn't tell you which specific driver has overstepped it's boundaries, then you will need to uninstall and reinstall device drivers one at a time until you find it, and this doesn't guarantee that the driver won't glitch again in the future due to an improper or corrupt registry file embedded on the hard drive. The best way to assure that the driver won't do this again is to reset the computer by reformatting and reloading the operating system.

Have you tried running a chkdsk /f from the command prompt? It sounds like you could have a driver issue or a memory issue. Chkdsk might solve the issue, might not.

If chkdsk doesn't work try removing unnecessary devices in safe mode under control panel/system/device manager. Do this 1 at a time and try booting then, if you successfully boot you know which device or device driver you need to repair.

"out of range" messege when powered-on

If you are getting this message on a laptop it sounds like your display driver has become corrupted. That message typically indicates your graphics adapter is attempting to display a resolution that your screen is not compatible with. Try rebooting the laptop and tapping the F8 key. This should allow you to boot into safe mode. Once in safe mode go into the device manager and reinstall your display driver.

When i am trying to instaling win xp .getting a error message like stop 0x00000007B in a blue screen

hello Shameeralipk,

The most popular Blue Screen of Death error in Windows is the STOP 0x0000007B error, sometimes called the 0x7b error or the "INACCESSIBLE BOOT DEVICE" BSOD.

This BSOD (which is actually the common name for a STOP Error) could mean that there's a serious hardware problem with a hard drive controller, a driver issue, or even a boot sector virus.

thansk.

3)Super-Antispyware.....download Super-Antispyware from "http://download.cnet.com" and scan your PC to chek for any additional hidden viruses.

4)Also keep updating the Anti-Virus on your PC regularly for preventing your PC from getting affected with viruses.

I can't get into safe mode (windows won't log in). THIS is what I get: -- My Eee PC laptop crashed & I don't know exactly how to recover it. It tries to start & at the initial Windows login screen....

i suggest you should reprogram your computer because it has been corrupted due to the improper shutdowns and incomplete installations. If you dont have any cd rom then i think you neeed to buy an external cd rom or dvd rom drive. after you have set your cd rom drive, let it boot from your cd and insert the windows xp bootable system disc and continue the reprogram process.

You have two options:
1. Do a repair on the system
2. Do a reformat and install a fresh copy of the system.

But i recommend first you try option 1.

well, i hope this works, :)
Thank you..

I agree. Re imaging or reinstalling the windows operating system seems like the only fix at this point since it seems like the anti virus isn't picking up the virus. Back up the files on an external hard drive and just reinstall windows.
