The pump on my water tank is running continously

if you have a pressure /flow control switch on the pump then you either have a water leak after the pump ( small drip/dribble will be enough) or the non return valve in the control unit is leaking water back into the tank and that keeps switching the pump on.

Is this unit design to have a continous flow into the drain? My flows all of the time.

Hello, the humidifier should only be running when the furnaces blower motor is running, therefore it should only drain when the humidifier is on and not flow continuously. Usually the humidifier will keep draining water when the solenoid is stuck open and should be replaced with a new solenoid valve.

Low pressure and have take head apart not plugged

Modern low flow plumbing devices reduce water flow by using smaller passages inside the unit. The downside of this conservation is that appliances are more easily clogged by debris that may be in the supply lines. Frequently it gets stuck in the cartridge. I have even found it in the supply line connections.

I have a whole house Honeywell E365 humidifier which is constantly flowing water to the pad, even when the heat is not on. What could be the cause ?

Hello, the most common reason this happens is because the solenoid valve is bad and remains open allowing water to flow continously regardless if the furnace is on or off. I assume you have either a sail switch or current sensing relay energizing the humidifier when the heat is on, if not thats another reason it would run continously.

Rinnai gas water temperature keep alternating from hot to cold

A fault often found with these units is due to insufficient water flow. Usually this causes specifically the shower to run hot and cold. Try turning on more than one hot supply; if this fixxes the fault you will need to try and increase water flow. Most new tapware/showerware have water flow restictors built in. These are the cause of many problems with continous flow heaters such as the Rinnai. In taps they are usually located in the spout if it unscrews. In showers try the shower hose. Find them and take them out. Also make sure your mains supply to the house is on full.
There are more technical faults but this is something you can easily try first.

Dishwasher will run throght the cycle. But no water will flow

Sounds like you need dishwasher water inlet valve. This part is electrical and lets water flow during the wash/ rinse cycles. Unplug the appliance before attempting this repair. Part costs about $25 depending on model. This part is located under the bottom front panel and should be easy to replace even by someone with little experience. Should be two screw mount and two wires with slip on and slip off connectors. Easy!

Hot water running continously

If your FAV6800AW/FAV9800AW has water flowing water with the power off or water fill cycle has ended then your water valve is stuck open. I’m sure crud in the valve seats preventing the washer water valve from seating. The water valves are sealed units and need to be replaced. I Haven’t had to replace yet but I will post links to the SM and parts replacement link. See this post for possible issue with a new substitute 12002242 part replacement.

This should be a problem with the fill valve.

They are usually not very expensive.

Find your model and serial number for your machine and call an appliance parts store.

They should be able to give you a price or you can find one online.
